Very much own time, own target except for a few weekdays when your groups have to meet up for meetings or workshops. A lot depends on the management and agency leaders.
Word of advice: save up first before commencing this job. The first few weeks / months will be difficult, especially for those not familiar with the insurance industry.

Workplace and environment is very much dependent on your agency leaders. Some treat their employees well, whereas some can be rather demanding with meeting expectations.

Must be able to take rejection from potential clients and criticism from team leaders. Patience is a must.

Lots of incentives to get employees to meet targets.

Recommended for those interested in meeting new people and willing to go the extra mile.

A person has to be very discipline in the industry. You will be spending most of your time trying to look for leads/prospect. Time management is a very important part of the work. You will have to plan your schedule well and keep to your schedule. Most of the time you are very much on your own in this job although there are people who will help to guide and motivate you. The entire industry is driven by how much sales you can close and you have to be driven by the sales result. The hardest part of the job is to handle rejections and keeping self motivated. The most enjoyable part of the job is that your work time can be flexible.
Pros
Flexible hours
Cons
Financially unstable

Is a friendly working environment and working hours is flexible.
Able to meet and communicate with all agents, to submit claims, ask enquiries at the agent care center and provide others admin supports to agents.

I am working as a part timer, don't work closely with the management so dont really know how they manages there are districts or groups.
All agents are very friendly. The working environment there are friendly and flexible.

The hardest part of the job is to ask enquiries at the agent care.

Working there I don't feel any restiction.

I have learned to pay more attention to details of a case and also to be more efficient in my duties. I had gained more insight into the workings of a life insurer and how I may handle customers that were in the unfortunate circumstances with their experience with the company and how to turn a complaint to a compliment.
Pros
Free dinners
Cons
management and culture

Started out 3 day due to no sales was ask to leave is very typical in telesales, while there is an FC observing the hard work of my call & want me by asking another FC permission, with this new FC I learn the art of articulate in making cold call and generate more quota than given, in term of management wise are very lenient and patience, co-workers are not hard to get along as all are working mature adults, of course the hardest part was back then AIG and Lehman Brother news where consumer start to worried, to conclude, working there is never an loss when kind heart are willing to groom, nurture and gift you the best.
Pros
Often have free meals
Cons
None that I can think of
