Depends on what department that you are in.
Patient Service Representative (Former Employee) - Charlotte, NC - June 30, 2022
Indeed Featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedI enjoyed working for Atrium until I transferred to another department. My team lead had no clue about my work. The training was HORRIBLE. It was the worst department that I had been in since my 10 years . Before I left I was doing a 3 person job, and each week something else was added on. For my mental health, I felt it was best for me to leave . If you are a manager and reading this , please don’t promote leaders if they are not team lead material to just fill a spot . If you are a team leader reading this - please know that Everyone is not team lead material, just because you are offered the job, don’t take it just for the money. You have to be fair and treat people with kindness.
Pros
Good benefits
Cons
During Covid some teammates were able to work from home and the other team was told no.

Clinical Technician (Former Employee) - Macon, GA - June 29, 2022
No room to grow working as a Clinical Tech. you’re there to do everybody’s else while your on your feet 12 hours . Eating seems like a crime! worst place to work, Don’t expect any good raises for all your hard work ,or even a simple thank you .very unappreciated techs are!

They do not pay well or offer good healthcare benefits
Patient Care Coordinator (Former Employee) - Concord, NC - June 29, 2022
Hire a lot of PRN’s so that benefits and PTO do not need to be given. Starting wages are very low, and healthcare benefits are not good. Everyone is very burnt out and not rewarded.

Hands on Experience .
Ambulatory Care Registered Nurse (Former Employee) - Charlotte, NC - June 28, 2022
Can do better about staffing and pay. Very busy day. Hands on experience . RNs have tremendous workload . If they improve staffing , train them well and pay them they can keep a lot of ppl.

Understaffed and burned out
RN (Former Employee) - Charlotte, NC - June 28, 2022
Was promised things regarding staffing in interviews, that was not accurate regarding staffing. Constantly understaffed which gave so much anxiety regarding patient safety

Stable job but always short staffed
Clinical Laboratory Assistant (Former Employee) - Concord, NC - June 28, 2022
Great place to work if you are looking for stability and lots of hours. Pay is descent. You may end up working overtime through pressure from management and they don’t come in to help. Strange that a position in the lab that seems like a long time role has so much turnover.
Pros
Overtime hours
Cons
Understaffed, hectic environment

Management is horrible to the employees
CMA (Former Employee) - Lincolnton, NC - June 20, 2022
Management is horrible. They have their favorites that get away with everything. Pay is ok, you get a raise a year and incentive bonus. The insurance is bad but you will make some good friends.
Pros
Incentive bonus
Cons
Management has favorites at Lincoln Family Medicine

Fun workplace but no place is perfect
Care Coordinator/ Authorization Specialist (Former Employee) - Charlotte, NC - June 16, 2022
For the most part everyone is great but atrium is big so you do occasionally run into people who don't know how to not mix their personal life with work life. Basically you run into work place drama sometimes but that's anywhere you go besides that great place to work

Good place for a Registered Nurse to start
Registered Nurse (Current Employee) - Macon, GA - June 14, 2022
Work is stressful, but that is true of most nursing jobs. I’ve learned a lot here. Half of the employees here are positive and helpful and the other half are just the opposite. Base rate of pay is fair.

Flexible schedule, remote
Patient Account Coordinator (Current Employee) - Charlotte, NC - June 12, 2022
Hard to get a promotion. Management has a tendency to overlook internal candidates with experience. Love my teammates. We generally help each other when needed.
Cons
Benefits and pay could be better

Wide coverage area
Home Health Admissions Nurse (Former Employee) - Morganton, NC - June 6, 2022
Wide coverage area for non case managers. Management was friendly. Compensation was decent. Paperwork for home health is outrageous. You work all day and then spend all night completing paperwork if you are doing a good job with taking care of the patients. I never really felt like I belonged there.

Nice place
Registered Nurse (RN) (Current Employee) - Monroe, NC - June 4, 2022
Enjoy the teammates. Most are usually able to help you out when sinking on the unit. Workplace culture is friendly enough. Not like we hang out after our shifts. Few celebrations at work.
Pros
Pto accrual
Cons
Not much room for de-stressing. Hate the day shift/night shift blame game.

Very average medical workplace
LPN (Current Employee) - Concord, NC - June 3, 2022
Inpatient positions are not flexible. Outpatient is more flexible but it varies depending on the quality of your management (I had great ones). The benefits are above average.
Pros
Benefits
Cons
Stress of direct patient care

Good people, good nursing culture
RN Staff Nurse (Former Employee) - Georgia - May 31, 2022
Was a good company until they got bought out. Management tries their best and nursing culture is great but pay is very very minimum. Way below the national average for nurse pay.

Privately traded commodity
Registered Nurse (Current Employee) - 7 heart - May 25, 2022
Can’t keep healthcare workers or mid level managers. No effort to keep anyone. Executive focus is on ego enrichment and arranging the next sale/merger.
Pros
You will see a lot
Cons
You will not have the resources to deal with all you are responsible for

Horrible management and understaffed. Wouldn’t be bad if new management would come in.
Housekeeping (Current Employee) - North Carolina - May 20, 2022
It’s not a bad job and honestly not too hard when staffed right. Management has a high turn over for being nitpicky, over controlling and shows favoritism. Good benefits, could be better pay but not horrible.
