Unorganized, horrible training , underpaid, no clear direction, Just wasnt for me , half of training class didnt make it through after training. Might be better now.

Good benefits

Backward system and there are a lot of “old staffs” who are waiting for retirement. Depending on which function you are in, there may not be a lot of chances to optimize processes and to drive changes. Some functions are ok with status quo.

Management is not that fantastic. Reluctant to embrace changes. System are backwards.

Good working environment

Did enjoy working even with the difference in time zones. Had opportunities to interact with people of different cultures and status. Able to use my computer skills as well as communication skills.

Worklife balance culture. Flexible working timing and arrangement. Suitable for working mums as the company allows flexible work arrangement ie. Wfh.

Avoid securities market trading operations.

It is the only place that does not really sincerely promote executive driven values. Also, the smallest in the food chain does the real work for long hours. Do not join as a bottom feeder. Join mid level.

Amazing work environment

Everyone is helpful and I felt appreciated by the team. I am no longer just a replaceable staff, I am part of the team! Very good management team. Everyday feels like a fresh challenge and the pay is great!

Nice people, long working hours

Colleagues were supportive and nice. However, most employees need to work for quite a long time. It is hard to promote. Salary is around the average in the market.

A typical day at work is to manage payments request from client servicing officer from various branch offices I learned to prioritise work and have attention to detail as it is imperative for the payments request to go through smoothly

Lots of team bonding which can help team morale and efficacy. However diversity in top management is not very evident. No defined career or learning progression.

Asia Pacific project lead for tax compliance project

Project manage the roll out of the FATCA and CRS to all the 19 locations of BAML whole sale banking division in the Asia Pacific region.Typical day included participating in project calls and implementing the various policies to the different branches of the bank.
