My team was the most supportive and competitive team. Management is very good. In terms of benefits and over all package, it was pretty much the same. However, for non-local like me, we get to have a CPF-In-Lieu which is added on top of your base pay.

Merill Lynch was merged with Bank of America so its tough to provide reviews now.

But based on my observation from past

- not a good company to work with because of lack of management visibility and future perspects

Too much of cost cutting. Only management knows where is the team going, everyone else thinks they are moving in circles. Work hours are beyond normal.

A day to day work is to make sure that deliverable are provided under the operational and service level agreement without any delay and make sure an error free environment.

Management of people on a multi cultural environment is the hardest part of the job. But an open and transparent communication will help fill the gaps of cultural differences.

Bank of America, IT division has ever evolving work culture, to refine and reach to perfection for the sake of exceptional delivery of IT services.
I had privilege of working with IT leadership there and I learned a lot that helped me in organizing my day to day work effectively and efficiently.

I was given and tested for bigger responsibilities.
There is regular feedback, about performance, from management that helps in motivating and improving.

The staff that I have been working with are friendly & helpful. However, as the economy is weak, our business is shrinking, hence the insecurity. The work is manageable even though staff turnover is high.

Fun and motivating place to be. Communication by management is clear and constant which is good. Work is recognised. Learning is encouraged and resources to learn are aplenty.

However, I was remotely supporting the business in the US, hence not very clear of the business processes. Due to the nature of the role, not exposed to the business side of things. Not involved in the decision making of the technical aspects as well.
