Productive and fun place to work
its a 12-hr shift rotating of morning and night shift.
i am a Team leader comes supervisor.

faces challenges almost everyday.

works closely with ICA, SATS and CAG.

manning of manpower and breaks, dealing with incidents on ground.

the enjoyable part is that working in groups at all posts.

the hardest part is that the movement at changi airfreight centre is non stop and working on various weather condition.

Lots of cars, lorries, buses and pedestrians to be checked. making sure everyone holds a valid airport or visitor passes.

make sure no prohibited goods inside the vehicles or goods should be declared by ICA before entering or exiting cargo.

i have learned how to manage a team, trained new officer, how to handle incidents immediately.

learned how to answers for audits.

detected various intrusions by APD, CAG and CERTIS quality management team.

No integrity working company
A bad experience working with cisco. Breach of contract. HR recruiter will Sweet talk you into signing the contract. Once done, whatever they say during the interview wont come true. Etc, promise 2 day shift and 2 night shift. In the end had to work 12 hours night shift for a full year. Salary always shortage. Have to chase HR everytime and they will only reimburse the following month.

Fun Part time job
The only thing that was a hassle was that some clients did not have the proper equipment required to carry out the session. That required us to travel to the Certis office to pick up the equipment before the session and to return it after. And because this is a part-time job, that extra travel meant more time taken.

Politic, still old culture that people from MNC will be hard to adapt to
Politic, poor directions, often restructing. People in other divisions are selfish. Its a bonus that you have a good colleague to guide you all the way
Pros
Free movie tickets
Cons
long hours

Job outside your comfort zone
Security officer have a chair right? We'll, not in Certis Certis. You will have to stand all day long, beg for a break and hope time pass fast. But none of this will work. You work 12 hours, have 2 hours break, but your legs beg for a rest, your toilet break also no one to replace and most importantly, time pass slow. The management is terrible, there's everyday reduction of people, in the end it's became a 1 man show. Resignation is the worst, make sure you have enough money in your bank, your salary may bank in next month.

Everything pass except Superior
Work pace okay, not much learning curve. Unsafe environment, vicious superiors who repeatedly cut you down and pick on you, reporting your perceived flaws to superiors and tainting your reputation despite hard work and dedication - not worth it and doesn't pay off. in the end you are retrenched merely from image. Everything else comparatively good and fair, except for superior personal bias and repeated attacks against a fair number of honest, hardworking individuals.

Na
12 hours work. Depend on flights, sometime no time for meal due to security screening on passengers from several back to back flights.
Working at Arrival and Departure Halls, have to stand 2 hours with one hour break that mean 8 hours stand and 4 hours rest. A lot of walking is needed at Arrival halls.

Productive place
Productive place of work. Great environment but depend of assignments and division. As the oldest Auxiliary Police Force with a monopoly over most of the private armed security sector in Singapore for 33 years, CISCO maintains a visible presence in many key establishments, including the private residences of VVIPs.
