Able to learn a lot of things, meet new people, culture wise still decent.Fun part is when meeting clients or people and understand what are their needs and guide and advise them on it.

Not bad

Not bad place to work. Work life balance is good with minimal OT. However compensation and bonus could be better for backend staff, unfair compared to front line staff. Increment very minimal. New hires get better package while current employees get unfair pay schemes.

Lots of bureaucracy

Be prepared for lots of politics, bureaucratic processes and insane working hours. The organisation is too huge to get a macro overview of what’s happening and how to get things done.

Regimented and Bureaucratic

Too many processes. Too much work. Not enough people to do the work. Poor pay except for those who keep brown nosing their superiors. Too huge of an organization that no one person has a macro view of how things are supposed to work

No work life balance

Lots of politics. Like to push things around. No work life balance. In terms of working arrangement, management is flexible on working from home arrangement.

Awesome

Hiring manager was well aware that I was still actively searching for a permanent role while I worked for them on contract basis as long as it doesn’t affect the quality of my work. The whole team was friendly and great even when I resigned halfway through the contract as I found a permanent role. Handover was smooth and efficient.

Improve communication with employees.

Improving your office’s work environment includes giving employees space and privacy to do their work, making the office more comfortable, and improving communication. Hosting company events and expressing gratitude builds trust and ignites enthusiasm. To help keep productivity and morale high, don’t underpay employees or ask them to work through their breaks.

System Analyst

Business users are nice. The technologies they used are outdated. The pay is just average. So they do not attract many talents. Promotion is not based on performance, it's based on how many years you have worked for them. Slow progression.

Stressful but a necessary evil

Working at Citibank was fast-paced and stressful, but that's what comes with being in a highly competitive and innovative organisation. Back then when I was still working there, Citi set the standard very high for customer service and product innovation. The hardest part of the job was satisfying higher management and meeting KPIs despite not having sufficient manpower and resources to do the work. Hard work, good attitude and talent are recognised. You just have to make sure you're noticed instead of humbly letting others take the credit or keeping quiet about your accomplishments. To excel at Citi, you need to have a thick skin.

Nice office in Changi

Suitable for people that are confident and are able to shout about the work they do, else a promotion will be hard to come by. Nice office space at Changi with standing desk.

Competitive and progressive

Citi is a place where you decide your own career path. If you wish to be promoted, you need to take on projects and be really familiar with what is ongoing. If you are contented with doing productions, then the usual progress will take you about 7 to 10 years to become AVP. Starting from C8 or C9 for fresh grad, every increase in rank will take 1 to 2 year. AVP is C11, VP as C12, and so on. You do not get promoted simply because you are there long enough, you get up by doing things and improvements.Salary is definitely on the lower end, reliance on contract staff are extensive, so there are always a lack of seasoned production crews. All in all, Citi is a place where people work, not to enjoy benefits or slack around, and there is nothing wrong with it.

Worst at SG location

No work-life balance.Managers typically think that you need to be available 24*7Appraisal process is highly biased and opaque.Promotions are mainly driven by manager and not a standard process based on performance, merit and qualification.

Amazing Corporate Culture

At Citi, individuals matter. I have received a lot of support from my manager, as well as from the senior management. The benefits are amazing, and there are plenty of opportunities for advancement.

Fast-paced and collaborative

Good branding, good environment, colleagues are nice and friendly, nice office and good benefits. Targets are very numbers driven, but overall it's a good company to learn.

Retirement

Learning curve is not very steep, there is definitely work/life balance, no OTs, relaxed environment. however, for people who is looking for advancement and more learning opportunities, the chances are low especially if you are a contract.

The colleagues I worked with were good and we work as a team. We bond was strong.

Citibank was a good place to work with in terms of the people around me but the workload is tremendous. It's a very stressful environment to work at as we have a lot of time line to follow.
