Stressful but a necessary evil

Working at Citibank was fast-paced and stressful, but that's what comes with being in a highly competitive and innovative organisation. Back then when I was still working there, Citi set the standard very high for customer service and product innovation. The hardest part of the job was satisfying higher management and meeting KPIs despite not having sufficient manpower and resources to do the work. Hard work, good attitude and talent are recognised. You just have to make sure you're noticed instead of humbly letting others take the credit or keeping quiet about your accomplishments. To excel at Citi, you need to have a thick skin.

Business users are nice. The technologies they used are outdated. The pay is just average. So they do not attract many talents. Promotion is not based on performance, it's based on how many years you have worked for them. Slow progression.

Nice office in Changi
Suitable for people that are confident and are able to shout about the work they do, else a promotion will be hard to come by. Nice office space at Changi with standing desk.
