Good place to work
Decent pay, good number of paid vacation days, good medical and dental benefits. Being a global company and working in a global team means having meetings at odd hours. Plenty of opportunity to learn and plenty of teams to grow laterally.

Good Company to gain experience.
Depending on the position you hold with Citibank your day could be restricted to you work area, with time management a key issue or it can be very relaxed while staying business focused.

Those individuals taking the inbound call's from customers are very restricted in the ability to be away from the workstation and are expected to meet company requirements with very little deviation.

Advancement is difficult, and often seems restricted, although everyone does have an equal opportunity to advance based on their qualifications and performance evaluations.

For those that are not directly involved with inbound customer calls, the workloads are balanced, the work culture is more relaxed, and very enjoyable.

The hardest part of working for this company is learning the culture of the organization and your specific department. The Companies primary culture is easy to understand and is stressed, however departmental cultures vary based on management and management style.

The most enjoyable part of the job is the people that you work with. The employees all share the same concerns. The company is diverse and strives to treat all employees with respect and dignity and you can feel that commitment from day one.
Pros
Good helath care benifits. company matched 401K, good training programs, good education benifits
Cons
Departmental favoritism between management and employee, A lack of proper training for those hired into management positions

Decent middle of the road place to work as a software developer
Decent middle of the road place to work as a software developer, but there's many much better places out there.

I found the people that work here to be enjoyable to be around and it's fairly easy to move around in the organization if you find that you're not a fit for the team that you initially start in.

There's initiatives to improve code quality, but in practice, there's rarely time to accomplish it, especially in applications that are already well-established.

It's a much better experience if you're either on a high-profile large team, or a small team where you can make the majority of the design decisions.
Pros
Friendly team, Plenty of work, Mobility across organization
Cons
Low compensation, Poor adherence to good software development standards
