The conversion rate for contractual employees is very low. A temporary employee on an internal contract has a three-month notice period. The rest are on 1 month notice period

Not so good

Quite stressful on the first day. Project is very complex. Managers just dump the training videos to you and tell you to learn yourself. Minimum guidance from other senior staff. Unwelcoming onboarding

Can explore

Good work life balance, pay is bit less compared to the market standards. I would recommend for freshers to give out a try where they can learn many things

Strict and long working hours (9.45hrs)

The company provides facilities like taxi (after 10pm), overtime (slab rates), etc. Good place to work for freshers/new IT graduates. There is no specific timing, but ppl are expected to work long hours (min 9.45hrs each day mon-fri). Management (mostly French) needs to improve the quality of work (similar to France 7hrs per day) rather than quantity of work. All recruitments are thru consultant payroll. Very negligible direct contract/perm. As perm positions cannot be removed without French union and other approval conditions.

Pros

Overtime, neither agile nor waterfall

Cons

Very bad long hours, Low pay, no specific protocol of administration, mostly a confused mix of agile/waterfall

Intellectually Fun

It is a good training ground for fresh graduates. It will expose them to the complete development life cycle as well as the technical and functional. aspects of the banking industry. It fosters holistic growth.

Good Place to work

One of the great organisation to work, have fun and work both, the only problem if you work as a contractor never know when they will ask you to leave. However it depends on your work style and performance.

too much micro management

too much micro management, poor pay scales and benifits. My manager was good but company culture is not. Almost zero chances of career progression. wont recommend

Long hours, unfair management, stagnant job prospects

Mainly contract role for KYC staff, no career advancement, difficult to convert to permanent roles, hence there is a high turnover. Foreigners seem to be more and be in favour, as compared to the locals. Management attains the glory for themselves by accepting more responsibilities FOR the Analysts who had to then do all the work. If you are planning for a kid or have kids and need to drop/pick them from school, this company is not for you as there is no work-life balance and very inflexible for flexible work arrangements. Very contrasting difference between the Onboarding and PR team - 1 team can go for Long lunch breaks and mid-day breaks and the other slaved into the night on most days, and even to work till/past midnight. Typically 18 days of annual leave for contract staff. Pro is the food here at MBC is cheaper than Raffles Place. Join if you are desperate for a job.

Pros

Cheap food at MBC

Cons

Long hours, unfair mgmt, High turnover

Not very good for contractors

Chance of being permanent is rather small so the package you receive will be at best standard. Number of leaves are better than average though but thats about it. Management is dependent on team you land on.

Good Working Environment

Good Working Environment, but some time have to extended support from home. Management understands people and tries to maintain work-life balance. You can change role if you have necessary skills.
