I was pleased with my experience in Credit Suisse as it was fair and I learnt a lot. I would recommend it to other individuals who are keen to join the banking industry.

Efficient workplace

Good teamwork. Get work going. We support one another in running training for staff locally and overseas for leadership in the bank. We also work with external vendors to run trainings to meet other needs.

Long hours

they value external hires rather than their own staff

Culture is the worst out of my employment history. You can join CS for the brand name but advise to find another job after a year as the yearly increment/bonus is very little/non existent. Don't waste your time slogging in CS as it is not rewarding.

Good work life balance and culture of inclusion

Credit Suisse is an equal opportunity employer, they believe in diversity in every way and mostly live by their code of conduct and ethics. Work life balance is good and management persevere to keep the moral up.

Great company with sound culture and fantastic team players

Enjoyed my work here. Learnt a lot and made good relationships with professional colleagues. Good systems, processes and global reach. Currently leadership team continues to navigate through cost pressures and innovation challenges due to weak macroeconomic outlook and headwinds faced by financial services as a whole industry.

Fun work environment

Am on a contract job however there is no job security on this. it is a fun and information place to learn new applications and roles as a PMO in the technilogy space there is a alot of changes within the structure and movements internally currently therefore the secuirty of the position is not safe.

Competitive work environment. Pays well.

My experience there is not typical. So I do not think it is fair to comment. Applicants should give weight to more recent reviews, if any are available.

Best Investment Bank I have worked for

Overarching culture is very team oriented, less competition, but encourages people to do things right and with integrity Would recommend it and if given the chance (for the 3rd time) i would return and give my best.

Very nice people

Not so big bank, so limited opportunities

Warning: Do your due diligence and consider carefully before accepting

Due to budget cuts, certain departments have become very lean. Many departments are top heavy. Frequent restructurings occur due to change in senior management. Most of them are politically driven. Like most organizations, internal politics are common. Job descriptions can also change if offshoring happens. Weak company results led to low bonuses (for certain departments) and huge attrition. They would rather hire contract staffs and keep resources lean. Internal processes are lacking or lost in transition due to staff attrition and offhsoring. Knowledge has been lost in some cases. Most of the best practices are either verbal or handed over from generation to generation without proper documentation. New joiners will not have a clear picture of certain processes and/or how things are done and handled. As a result of the attrition and restructuring, roles were callously and quickly filled by new employees with little or no relevant experience. The poor job fit saw the hiring of leaders or managers with the inability to make effective decisions, poor leadership and ineffective management skills. This also led to mismanagement in the career of the affected employees. Very slow career progression (below average) with almost no visible path for development. Offshoring and Globalization of resources resulted in internal inefficiencies. Work related issues ranging from HR to IT are remotely operated offshore. E.g, a lot of time is wasted on sending screenshots and waiting for someone in another time zone to respond to your issues. Cultural and language issues have not been -

Health benefits and that is just about it; apart from the strong brand name and reputation.

Budget cuts and frequent restructurings, Poor Management and Weak Culture, Inefficient Management of Resources, Continuous Offshoring and Contract Hiring for years

Wonderful training opportunities

The thing I love the most is their wonderful training opportunities. 50% of management are open and approachable. They have a "buddy system" for learning on the job. It is a problem when the department has office "group clicks" . When individuals get alienated this can counter office productivity. They have a steep learning curve if you just started in the industry.

Wonderful training opportunities

Steep learning curve for newbies
