Bad career progression, bad workplace culture
Business Analyst (Current Employee) - Singapore, S00 - July 18, 2015
Bad career progression, bad workplace culture, top-down culture. Majority are contractors, bad job security when operations are shifting to Poland. Co-workers are contractors so constant competition and bad culture to get permanent roles.
Pros
Good salary
Cons
Long hours, bad leadership, dictatorship culture

Good working environment
Operation Executive (Former Employee) - Singapore, S00 - July 5, 2015
Manage equity settlement and option assignment. Handles the queries of RMs. Work has long hours and need to work on holidays. The fun part is the many programmes / training avaiable.
The hard part will be always to be watching out for the various cut off time of working processes.
Pros
Good medical benefits
Cons
Long hours

Demanding, multi task, overloaded
Executive Assistant (Former Employee) - 1 Raffles Link - May 11, 2015
Basically I am in charge of the admin part in cash equity department. Handling 16 people together with my admin assistant. I handled ad hoc requests from clients and colleagues on events & roadshows and their urgent travelling arrangement during office hours. After office hours then I can handle other admin work. Is a high stress and laborious job. No work life balance at all.
Pros
Very good benefit
Cons
long hours and underpaid.

Credit Suisse - A sweet Swiss experience
Technical Consultant (Former Employee) - Singapore - March 2, 2015
I had the precious privilege of working at the prestigious and highly coveted investment bank -'Credit Suisse' in Singapore. I was placed through the esteemed'Optimum Solutions'.
Credit Suisse had opened a new technology center in Singapore in 2004. So when I joined in mid 2006, it was relatively new center. Most of the management team had relocated from London to Singapore for creating and running it. Most of the developers were hired from India and most of the technical support team from Philippines. Many were initially hired on contract basis and those who performed well were converted into permanent employees. The managers from London were really good natured, amiable and nice. It was lovely to interact with them.
We also used to collaborate with New York and London teams on almost a daily basis with regular audio and video conferencing calls every week. The work culture and environment was really cool, which impressed me the most. We used to get a lot of quality work done without having to work long hours or come on weekends. Thus it provided good work satisfaction, and decent work life balance. Also Singapore was a fabulous place to live, especially in the early/mid 2000s when the cost of living was still quite low as compared to the late 2000s. I really had a wonderful and exciting time in those days both inside as well as outside the office.
Credit Suisse is a really good employer to work as it takes excellent care of its employees. The facilities, amenities and perks/benefits are also magnificent. Life is good! I also had participated and volunteered in various -
Pros
Fabulous work environment, good work, good brand and reputation, good career growth opportunities, good pay and benefits
Cons
None
