I am working in a food and beverage industry, particularly in a western type of restaurant. We have two divisions, the Bistro and the Retail department. I am assigned as a Retail Executive. Our main scope of job is to ensure the freshness and quality of goods that the consumers avail. We do office jobs mainly in ordering and maintaining our stocks. Sometimes we offer help to the bistro team in providing quality service to our customers.

Toxic work environment

Retail Assistant (Part-Time) (Former Employee) - Singapore - September 8, 2019

One of the worst places to work at. 1) Bullying from all levels including ICs and junior staff. ICs bully any time in bad mood 2) Favouritism. Sucking-up staff favoured and rewarded 3) Unprofessional ICs bullying, slacking, extended breaks, forgetting customer orders 4) Dog-eat-dog culture 5) Cronyism rules 6) Management cannot be bothered with what happens on the ground
