Questionable planning

completely unplanned intern role and a waste of time, i spent more time looking at the port rather than doing something productive.Alot of office politics btw workers, managers and directors. No proper communication between the ranks, miscoms seems to be due to incompetent individuals hiding relevant and material information to different stakeholders.Potential reason behind this would most likely be the self volunteering as a potential system, where first impression and relationships would be more of a succeding factor rather then ability to think, give direction and manage a team. Additionally, high reliance on internal mobility results in a smaller talent pool in the already really small demographics that we have here. Beware of gaslighting when something goes wrong, individuals in such cultures are really good at pushing blame, responsibility and redirecting the actual cause of the problem to someone else.However, this could just be at the dept i was at. Can't possibly all be like this. pros: associates and analyst were considerably fun and inclusive people. [they left fyi HAHAHAHA]

Very fun and productive workplace

Really enjoyed my time there with DBS, would love to go back if given the opportunity to do so! My department and team is really understanding and helpful in all senses and always ready to teach us more whenever we require help!

Most are friendly and nice

Good place for an internship and most of my colleagues were open and willing to teach. They also allowed me to try performing tasks in areas i was not familiar in as a learning experience.

Good culture

People are very friendly and salaries are fairly compensated. Good CEO and management style. Many fresh graduates and a fast-paced environment to learn from each other and good seniors.

I was only an intern at DBS so am unable to provide a very accurate view of working in the company, but the company culture is great, and has great benefits for its employees, especially those of higher ranks.

You can learnt quite a lot but environment is very dull. People are so focused on their work and they can end till very late at night. There is not much time to mingle around or bond with one another.

Fun Workplace

A good opportunity being an intern in DBS. Good work culture and the staff there are mostly friendly and approachable. DBS always give opportunities for their employees to progress. They believe in mobility, hence there are a lot of opportunities for the staff to explore different part of the bank.

I have learn to manage my time to submit reports on time. Well organised company. Although there is lots of work load, many things to learn. Work like is balanced as they study 5 at 5 (Friday finish work at 5pm).

interesting and fun working environment

a typical day at work is where i would have to follow the schedule given by my supervisor. At DBS Bank is where i first learn the working life. i learn that i need to learn when to say no, learn to manage my time to be considered effective and efficient in doing my work to meet the quota of task to be done in a day / per hour. Everyone was friendly, helpful and understanding. The hardest part of the job is when there is nothing for me to do. The most enjoyable part of the job is everything. From the start to the end of this job was exciting and enjoyable.
