Reviews about Salary & Benefits for Technical Program Manager in Dell Technologies
Its a good place to have a job, but not a great place to grow your career
Technical Program Manager (Former Employee) - Round Rock, TX - November 20, 2020
Dell is a fast paced work environment that can be very challenging. There is very limited career mobility however and they seem to do random layoffs every year, right after Christmas in the USA, so keep that in mind if you take a job there. You can be a great employee, but you are at the mercy of some accountant that doesn't know your name. The compensation, benefits, and a true commitment to maintaining a good work/life balance make taking a job there worthwhile. Just like any job, you may have to work harder at times, but every manager I had there was serious about giving that time back. You won't find any formal career support or training. You are very much on your own in that regard. That said, I would go back to Dell if the proper opportunity presented itself.
Pros
Compensation, benefits, work/life balance, lots of smart people
Cons
Limited career mobility, frequent lay-offs

Experiential and good exposure to big multi national corporate Enterprise business
Technical Program Manager (Former Employee) - Hyderabad, Telangana - May 26, 2020
daily work routine at Dell is fast-paced with new developments and decisions are dynamic in terms of developing technical products. The management was really supportive. The hard time at the job was to handle work delivery and pressure needed to work long hours to get things done.
Pros
Good Enterprise culture
Cons
Long working hours

You are not their greatest asset, you are a number..
Senior Adviser, Technical Project/Program Manager (Former Employee) - Round Rock, TX - October 31, 2018
Dell is still in great turmoil from the EMC acquisition in many orgs.Dells decision to go public has driven cost reduction at the expense of many US based employees, with many of these positions being sent offshore to "lower cost" regions.
Pros
Many really good people
Cons
Lot of dead weight, decisions to change are next to impossible to make
