Job Culture
Poor Management, culture of corruption.
People are great to work with. I initially thought my experience and skills would be valued. That was all for show. This is a dead-end job and management (newly hired) is all about making themselves look good at any cost, (no mistake to trivial to not blame others). I would love to keep working with Veterans but the culture is too toxic and there are no opportunities, unless you are a prior friend or family member of someone already in management.

Great to work with Veterans and their families
The most enjoyable part of the job is working with Veterans and their families. A typical day at work is great. The hardest part of the job is loosing Veterans.

Would not recommend.
Pros: good benefits package. Cons: Interview process took a very long time. Always changing processes and policies. A lot of turnover. VA is hard to work for.

Old facility offering plenty of HVAC work
Little to no contact with management on priorities for the day, which can change with phone call. Little support from management in conducting repairs on equipment sometimes causing equipment to prematurely fail.
Pros
Good health insurance and benifits
Cons
Staff
