About Dyson
The Dyson story: James Dyson speaks about our approach to engineering
"Problem solving is a disease – it is a mountain to climb" James Dyson discusses Dyson's approach to engineering. Since Dyson released the first bagless vacuum cleaner in 1993, we have been solving the problems that others ignore. We engineer solutions to everyday problems, from capturing dirt and air pollution to reducing hair damage, driven by a relentless desire to make things work better. That's why only a Dyson works like a Dyson.
Pollution levels faced by London school children. #BreatheLondon
Earlier this year, Dyson engineers unveiled a unique portable air quality monitoring device built into a school bag. King's College London used the device as part of a study involving 250 children to understand daily exposure to PM2.5 and NO2 on the school run. This week, they published the results. As a result of the study, 31% of children changed the way they commute to and from school, to reduce their exposure to air pollution.
