Reviews about Salary & Benefits for Microbiologist in Eurofins
Little room for growth and unfair compensation
Microbiologist (Former Employee) - King of Prussia, PA - August 16, 2021
Working for Eurofins PSS was rewarding and I was thankful to get a job with no prior experience. However, after 3 years, I had not received a single promotion and was still making far less than the median wage for my position. Great start up job, but useless to stay more than 2-3 years.
Pros
Great benefits
Cons
Hourly wage, no room for growth, clueless management

Fast paced and reactive.
Pharmaceutical Microbiologist (Former Employee) - Lancaster, PA - March 21, 2018
Great place to start out. The training of new employees needs to be sped up. You will spend a lot of time emptying trash cans and trying to stay busy your first month until they find time to train you.
Once you do get trained you will never be bored, there is always work to be done. The hardest part of the job is having to stay on second shift for two years as a new employee.
Management was a little out of touch with the analysts, and vehemently deny raise requests. They were very keen on keeping everyone at the same pay level, regardless of individual work ethic or proficiency.
The most enjoyable part of the job was the relationships with the coworkers on your shift. There tended to always be a rift between first and second shift that management never seemed to be able to get control of.
The pay is incredibly low; $16.00 per hour with a 10% second shift differential.
Pros
They hire with no experience.
Cons
Pay

Excellent to get your foot in the door of a lab
Microbiologist I (Former Employee) - Durham, NC - November 30, 2017
Few advancement opportunities and the pay is seriously lacking for the work performed. This is made up for by having benefits. In the Triangle area you don't find too many contract jobs that offer full benefits and PTO/sick days. Management can leave something to be desired (they're often young), but they not so much bad as inexperienced. Overall a great place to start if you don't have other experience in the field. When you do you can find yourself questioning if the company is right for you.

Cons
Pay, lack of advancement opportunities
