Great place to learn . Colleagues ae friendly and helpful. The challenge will be to continuously think of ways to improve the process by lean manufacturing concept as the work may be labour intensive.

Colleague is wonderful, KPI oriented company

Colleague is helpful and kind, require a lot of communication cross-department. System is not helping too much to reduce communication as most of the staff are old staff. Tradition working method has been used to inside the company. KPI oriented, focus has to be on KPI for self performance as well bosses performance.

Open and honest communication working in Logistic and Purchasing Department. Flexibility to speak up about improvements or current situation at work that can be improve. Ongoing daily shipment to meet the KPI so that all shipment to be ship on same date meeting company revenue. Fun workplace with colleagues who work as a team to ensure all shipment will be on time.

Good to work at this place. The colleagues are friendly, can help and guide new people. Everyday I just do my job with minimum supervision from my Engineer. I have done one improvement where I have to present in front of all people during townhall meeting. My QA management really appreciate that effort.

Fast pace and daily fire-fighting

Optics manufacturing in Qioptiq seems have frequent fire-fighting encounters daily. I have learnt all about Infrared Optics from my ex-boss who is specialize in diamond turning process. The most challenging part of the current position is the production commitment. Also, leading both engineering and production is indeed challenging as priorities changes everyday. The most enjoyable part of the job is the 'family' formed in the company.
