Typical day started with attending to emails, reviewing files, meetings depending on the job on hand. The work can be challenging but EY has a more friendlier environment compared to those that I have been used to.
Approchable and friendlier management
My company is a place with many learning opportunities in the areas of technical expertise and soft skills. The hardest part of the job is to deal with many different sets of management in the portfolio. The most enjoyable part of the job is the interaction we get to have with colleagues of similar ages since the company practices batch intake.

Our work day is seldom a typical workday where you can knock off at 1800. We often work till late in the night or sometimes till the next morning. We always have tight deadline to meet. However we learn how to cope with managing management and client and learn how to meet their expectations. We take pride in meeting deadlines and learn how to work as a team. As a senior we need to be able to motivate our juniors despite the long hours and need to guide and coach them as well. We have a sense of achievement to complete our job/report with quality and on time.
