Enjoyable and Great Workplac

Overall, working at Goldman Sachs is an enjoyable experience, working with great people and learning a lot. It's my first job as a software engineer after graduation. The work is chill most of the time with only a few exceptions during high-volume periods.

Sharp learning curve & poor work/life balance

- Fun to work with high-caliber professionals - Relatively poor work/life balance - Rampant office politics - Low retention rate - Flat organisational structure; easy to approach senior-level executives

great culture to learn and grow

everyone is keen to learn and grow. More importantly, every one is keen to help others to grow. Mangers are open-minded and willing to offer opportunity for internal mobility within the team/region/global regions.

Cons

long hours
