Nice colleagues

Indeed Featured review

The most useful review selected by Indeed
Nice people with good culture, but can be very busy. People are attentive to achieve goal, so they work very hard. Good benefits, good HR policy. But very competitive in getting promotion as too many smart people around.

A lot of things to learnt and can be rather political

A lot of training package to get you started but have to really learn fast enough, can be hard as no colleagues would want to mentor to avoid being involved as they don’t want more work/don’t want to take time extra responsibilities. Work load is exceptionally high that you have to bring back home, say bye to your work life balance. Depends on your department but the place can be toxic.

Productive and Inclusive workplace

Despite being in 7 months internship in 2019 and back in 2022 for just less tham 2 months, you can sense the inclusiveness and culture of the company. They are willing to teach and guide you but pace of learning depends on the production requirements.

Pros

Good employee benefits, highly subsidised lunch, open reporting culture

Cons

Lots of technical terms for people with no GMP/Vaccine Productiom background

Stressful

Job scope creep is real. Work burn is real due to the overtime and poor welfare. Some departments are slacking throughout the week with little tasks goes by and others work like there's no tomorrow.

Used to be a better company... Mostly driving shareholder driver now.

Used to be a better company... Lost its magic when it's mostly profit-driven. Drives a culture of "who you know" instead of ability. Lots of great talent has left the company since 2019. Used to be a great company!

Pros

Prestige

Cons

Lost Glory

Political working environment

Very political from top level to floor level across all departments. Promotion based on bias, liking by your superior. No collaboration between departments. Very regiment management like army style.

Pros

Free festival lunches

Cons

No work life balance

Worst work culture ever

Company are great in blaming employees which includes the management level. Everytime when there are issues arised, the first thing in mind is to blame the employee performing the task be it being the person who volunteer to work. Do more does not make you feel better and it will increase ur deviations level and impact on your yr end appraisal. Worst culture that is being created by the management

Pros

Good benefits

Cons

Worst culture which makes individual mentally suffer

Change is a constant, more to come

It's Big Pharma and British and these traits show up in every aspect of work. Top leadership is sincere in their efforts to be environmentally sustainable/ champion for inclusion and diversity, but I don't see this in leaders 2 layers down and beyond. The company expects to split in 2022 and it will be rocky times up to and including that year. If you're reading this to figure out if you should take that interview/ offer, I suggest you look before you leap - do your own due diligence!

Pros

Sometimes you get great leaders

Cons

Sometimes you don't

There is no work life balance or opportunities for growth

Overall it is not a conducive or healthy work environment. There is hardly any work life balance. There is hardly any salary increment except to adjust for economy fluctuations. Wages are not competitive with the market rate. There is little or no opportunities for growth if you are not at the management levels. Colleagues are not supportive of each other. Thus, there is little teamwork.

Generally ok.

Good environment but some office politics. Long working hours. Old machinery with minimum expenses. Usually more paper works than field work on site. A lot of learning points in the working environment.

Pros

Good environment.

Cons

Long working hours
