Good Company but slow career progression

Company with good culture and fair benefits. Good place to retire but not sure how good it is for younger generation. But when it comes to promotions, there are tons of people queuing in front of you and you will never know when your turn is. My advice is, focuses only on high profile project. Recognition is not always reflecting your contribution.

Productive and fun workplace

Enjoyed working for HP. I miss all my colleagues there. The building, the environment, the people and culture are awesome. I migrated to another country otherwise I would have never left the company.

Productive and relax environment

Typical day is to work on problems that are encountered by the Project user team and following up with the UAT users and external consultancy firm in order to resolve the issue. As my role is kindly different compared with other roles within the company, i could only mentioned what is beneficial to me.

Good Company

Had so much fun working here. Managers are good and instill a no blame culture. Engineers are helpful and knowledgeable. A good place to work overall.

lot of layoffs

good working culture and always cross department collaboration so it's good to learn soft skills. but easier to become complacence. career progression is very slow, especially if the business is slow and managers just trying to secure their own jobs.

No proper technical leadership. The management team doesn't seem to know much about Data Science though they claim they have the expertise.

Lack of senior data science experts to lead the team. I was hoping they have a team of data scientists to guide the junior colleagues but there is practically no technically capable people in data science knowledge.

Great

Great place to work. Lots of work to keep you busy. Lots of areas to go into and learn and try new ideas. Sometimes quite demanding but that builds you up.

it's a great work place to entrylevel cause the management is vary clear and there are activities for interns to know each other although covid kinda make those activities less attractive.

Very competitive work environment , be ready for plug and play work expectation , must perform immediately.

Work process and decision making process is extremely complicated and multi-layered. Expected to contribute immediately upon hire. To do well - must be out spoken as professional showmanship Silent worker is not appreciated. Like any old MNC company - has a highly political and competitive work environment.

Friendly working environment

Colleagues are nice, helpful. Good collaborate within same team and cross functional team. Management is more politics than engineer level. Sometimes can travel to support production build.

Fantastic culture. People are very nice and friendly

I would recommend HP to anyone who wishes to make a career there. They offer amazing opportunities to grow as an employee and as a person. The work was varied and therefore provided good exposure. To have HP on your resume will certainly set you apart from other job applicants.

Unique workplace

Working environment here are tend to "listen" only. People are not using their eyes to "see" and zoom into details job. Even senior or lead doesn't see detail where resulted many confusion among the teams. Nobody takes initiative to lead or find solution. General talks and super high summary update is everywhere in this company , nothing specific , nothing concreate. Most of them been working more than 10 years here , they are numb and take it ....this is normal . but i think its abnormal.....

Fun workplace

Really good welfare system, good culture minimal politics. everyone are nice & friendly Bosses are nice as well. Progression is okay, pay was alright. however there is always a hiring-freeze so it is hard to get a permanent role there.

Life at HP

Find the right mentor whom will guide you for the first 3-6 months. One must possess the right learning attitude and be humble to all peers. One must have the appetite to keep learning and able to work in a fast pace environment

Fun and nice colleagues with good enviroment

HP is a nice place to learn things and built up your career. However, most of the stuffs learnt are really very HP inclined. Hard skill are hardly transferrable. Build on the soft skill.
