if you go to the bathroom outside the break they scold you as if you were in kindergarten. Supervisors treat you like .... thinking they have a good job

Terrible
Team Member (Former Employee) - Lakeside Shopping Centre, Essex - December 10, 2022
Wasn’t trained properly yet expected to know exactly what I was doing. Managers did not help at all they just threw me in and told the other staff to teach me while they were busy doing their own job.

It's my first warehouse job and people are very helpful. They worked as a team and assist in work. Good to see different countries people and culture. Management is very supportive.

Hard work with low pay and no support from management at all
since i started at Hermes they've reduced the parcel rates and any rounds with a decent amount of parcels on they cut in half. If you ring a manager for advice they never answer the phone but if they want you to do some extra work for them their phone soon springs into life. If you return to the depot for whatever reason you're supposed to get £4 for it...you never get the £4 and a manager will often ring asking if you could pull them out of the mire & they'll give you an extra £20 for doing so...you never get the £20. To make an ok living from Hermes/Evri you need to be doing 180 parcels a day. The vans are often late meaning you don't start delivering til midday and it's a 6 day a week job. If you want a day off they want a month's notice & Evri are supposed to find cover which they never do so the day after ur day off you'll have 2 days worth of parcels to deliver. DO NOT believe these Evri ads saying its £500-700 a week coz it is utter rhubarb. and don't forget out of ur wages you need fuel (£££'s), insurance, tax and upkeep on ur van/car...oh and they don't have a customer service line so if the customer is angry their parcels gone missing it'll be down to you to explain why...I had around 30 customers Numbers in my phone without any support or thanks from Evri/Hermes for being their customer service rep as well as driver.
Pros
there are no pro's anymore
Cons
Long Hours, low pay and zero support from the irritating managers

Stay away! Horrendous
HGV Class 1 Driver (Former Employee) - Normanton - November 30, 2022
Transport office (if you can call it that) really have no idea what they’re doing and have very poor knowledge of driving hours and WTD, basically young lads chucked into an office from a warehouse environment with little training just to fill a void. I have 20 years of HGV driving experience and this is by far the worst employer I have ever worked for. Overtime is paid incorrectly if paid at all, vehicles are not well maintained and the cabs are always filthy and unhygienic. My advice would be to stay well clear.
Pros
Was local to where I live
Cons
Management, poor vehicle cleanliness and incorrect wages every pay day

Delivery driver
Delivery Driver (Former Employee) - Anglesey - November 14, 2022
I would not recommend any to use this company as it all about them. Please look somewhere else to work you get treated like parcel. Most drivers are self employed

Warehouse Operative (Former Employee) - Boldon Colliery - November 7, 2022
