Bang for your buck

Worked under the agency called First Choice. Hermes was the campaign. Easy job sending emails to customers, no calls involved. Agency was nice. But poor pay and hard to request holidays.

Pros

Work from home

Cons

Pay, temporary work

Flexible place to work

Payrates are a discrace, they start at 36pence then you get some at 46p or 60p,every other company pays 90-£1,if this company paid what every other company pays then it would be a great job,but the company is too greedy and only think of there profits and not the actual couriers that are keeping the place running

No home life

40 hours contract paid Salary with no overtime pay you work 10 hours a day in the office and at least 8 hours of not more from home . The mangers over you are shocking and do not offer help in anyway.

Shocking

Awful company to work with treat you as a number rather then an employee management wasn't very helpful and also treat customers parcels like it's rubbish no care about value etc

Flexible

I enjoyed working as a courier as you do things at your own pace. The only downside was delivering in an unfamiliar area and not knowing the best routes

Pros

Flexibility

Cons

Stressful when in an area your unfamiliar with

Good job

Not the worst job, money wasn't the greatest when i was there, work fairly straight forward and shifts were around 8/10hours. Sometimes you could struggle to get 40hours a week.

Fun place to work but earning is not fantastic and you get paid monthly.

Start about 10am at the depot. Allocated a route. Collect your deliveries. . Scan the delivery and sort them out in order and off you go to deliver. The time you spent to deliver totally depends on how well you know the area, how fit and quick you are and the number of delivery you have. Really a fun if it is not raining. Ok place to work if there is no better job around. Personal expenses like putting fuel and maintenance of your car can be a burden as you are paid very low rate for this. Hardworking people around.Polite management but take home is not fantastic.. The hours your work depends on you. Apparently the more hours you work the more money you take home. Their payment rate is not really good for inputs.

Worst Job Ever

Working for this company is horrendous. The management is a joke! The stress you are put under is horrific and the rate of pay is poor! The warehouse is chaotic (and not in a good way) Health & Safety goes out the window also.

Pros

End of shift

Cons

Long hours, stressful shifts, poor management, level of theft is unreal.

Barely earn a wage.

Petrol and insurance costs are barely covered by wages and constantly on the go, it’s exhausting, you are tracked via your phone. It’s like working for nothing. You can earn bonus’s but you must have everything at 100% there’s not even a Margain. It’s absolutely exhausting to the point I almost feel like having a breakdown.

Not fun really bad

No good to work no one wants to help or give a hand left in the dark for hours on end wrong parcels and deliver doors would never want anyone to work here

Productive

The positive sides are the fact you work on your own mostly.Pay is dependent on how much parcels you deliver, no money given toward fuel. Long hours if you actually want to make some money.I worked for 1 month. It's pay to work. Supervisor was good, but the payment in the end was just to fill up the car.

Easy, sometimes pointless

Ok job

It’s not too bad working there but was only there a short amount of time over the the Christmas period. Half the time they would book to many people and send you home so waste of time

Class 2 Driver

Trucks are old and knackered, but you can smoke in the cab which is a bonus. It's a driving job, could be worse, could be better. Overall it's decent, albeit the supervisors are questionable.

Okay place

Okay place to work. Not Fantastic pays the bills. Wouldn't really recommend. Management are not really Trained. HR are terrible and never pay anyone correct wages

Productive

I enjoyed my time at Hermes. Good money to be made if you can get a regular round with a good workload. May find you don’t make as much if you aren’t getting a good volume of parcels everyday
