Favoritism from the Management towards their own staff.

Favouritism of the management is obvious. They treat & give promotions to thier favourite staff.Unfortunstely those who are doesnt belong to the favourite list they are not promoted..

Cons

Give gift vouchers

Standard scope of work, weak management

The work was monotonous and rather standard. There were opportunities for career progression but did not take them as their higher management was very poor.

Fun workplace

Working at IHH is fun as the organisation has many events throughout the year that staff can participate in and there are plenty of learning opportunities.

Relaxed but demanding environment

I worked for a swab test + pdt temporary booth that was set up in the carpark, next to the a&e. work is demanding as there are rush hours and clashes with full-time staff, but if you get along with fellow part time colleagues it will be fun, can talk when there qre no patients needing help

Not too bad

So far it was okay, just that I'm losing interest in the job. The company is all right, but don't expect great benefits form a health-care company. Politics are everywhere

Pros

Work-life balance

Cons

Once you've got the rhythm and routines sorted out you'll be bored. Salary stagnant

Busy with lack of skilled staffs

Hired too many temps, trained them- contract ends- another hire comes. Ops has several 'newer' projects when current ones are not well supported. It's all about profit.

Pros

Nursing unlike restructured hospitals, more laid back

Cons

Tons of paperwork, not digital as yet. Lack of manpower

Stressful Workplace

Very stressed working surrounding. High level pressure. Not a healthy place to work. Poor software operates slow and lousy. No good food provided as it cost cheap.

Higher ups disconnected from employees

HR can choose to terminate contracts on short notice without informing team supervisors or sector leads. They then have to scramble to accommodate the changes from upper management. Colleagues are great but management not much.

Fast-paced call centre environment

This job is desk-bound and suitable for those who loves a fast-paced working environment with KPI to meet. Candidate must be good at multi-tasking as picking up calls and communicating with corporate clients while doing data entry work in booking a medical check-up or health screening appointment needs to go hand-in-hand.

Friendly colleagues but poor management

Good place to start off career but close to zero career progression. Relatively well paid when compared to companies in the same industry. Management only care for patients/clients, does not protect own employees.

Didn't like it

Minimum training opportunities and very difficult coworkers, wouldn't recommend this place to anyone ! Supervisors don't bother to provide any assistance

Pros

Good pay

Cons

Long hours

Relaxed and no government

Got this contract job through recruitement agency and interviewed by agency. No contact with company HR. Pay is low as hourly rated with no CPF deduction, no pay for leave, MC and Public holidays.

Pros

No government as they work from home.

Cons

No one to consult in case of HR issues.

Good learning place

Pros

Cons

Too many nights shift

Mount Elizabeth Novena Hospital

Salary is above average, staff benefits are good, not so for dependants and families. Good working experience and exposure to different specialities. Good place to learn new skills. Colleagues are nice to work with and very supportive of each other. However, management hierarchy is a mess, anyone can just go straight to higher management to get what they want. direct supervisors have no authority. SOPs are easily overwritten by 'case to case basis' without clinical judgement.

Pros

Meals are included, Good Salary and Staff Benefits

Cons

Unable to go out for breaks, have to stay in the ward. no work-life balance, chaotic management (unstructured, disorganised)

Lots of politics and favourism

Toilet time being monitored. Lesser staffs with a very heavy work load. Difficulties getting leaves when needed. MC or urgent leave is regarded as an offence. Lunch time will be called back to assist customers. Customer service staffs have to push wheelchair patients without training and lift heavy luggages. Walking with atleast a minimum of 20 patients up to the room and doing room orientation. Managers will ask other department staffs regarding your performance and your whereabouts.

Pros

2 off days per week

Cons

Very tiring. No proper training. Customer service handles bell man job.

Work culture is bad

Pros: Oppotunities for inter-departmental initiatives and projectsCons: Employee welfare is bad especially for support departments, renumeration is bad, salary increment is very bad, treatment of support staff lack respect, company profit is deemed more important than staff welfare, appreciation and renumeration (much lower than public hospital) . Turnover rate is high. Staff are overworked and stressed. Work responsibilities definition of different departments have many grey areas and is a minefield for arguments and pushing around of work, the conclusion of which is too dependant on HOD's stand of staff welfare protection even if the work should not belong to department. Staff are expected to (especially suoport staff) respond to work texts and calls even when on leave/ mc/ weekend/ after office hours while extra effort is not appreciated and deemed as mandatory. Staff are hinted to bring work home and also OT. Executive and above no OT pay and sometimes hinted not to claim time off as a show of dedication although staff is entitled to. Some revenue generating departments' staff have some very disrespectful and demanding attitude towards support department staff.

Bad management unfair superiors poor staff treatment

Doctors focuses more on salesmenship than treatment, nurses and management just tries to cut corners for their own comfort and benefits. Superiors & management doesn't plan the ops properly when it comes to their own staff and to cut cost they can shorten period of your contract and can even reduce your working hours. Prepare yourself to be cheated, illtreated when it comes to payment when you are employed through recruitment agencies at this institution.

Pros

Free lunches

Cons

Poor Management

Ok place to work but not too long.

Actually the work at Parkway Pantai is good no problem with work because I am willing to learn. The bosses and the management people are very not nice people to work with, not all but some of them. Some are extremely nice. There is no appreciation and recognition. The turnover at Parkway Pantai is very high.

Pros

Yes, we are given $60/- coupon for food every month.

Cons

I worked from 8am to 5pm (weekdays) and 8am to 12 noon every alternate Saturday.
