Ambition and agile way of working
Our ambition is to help build a financially healthy and sustainable society for the Netherlands, for its residents and for its institutions. We want to lead the way in this.
Where we once had large departments and traditional hierarchies, we now work in independent, multidisciplinary squads of about 9 colleagues. These squads (start-ups) work agile and are end-to-end responsible for all our new products and services. From design to delivery.
ING's purpose is empowering people to stay a step ahead in life and in business. This purpose guides us in everything we do. ‘do your thing’ is our new brand direction and our first global tagline. It articulates our purpose and our promise to make banking frictionless.

Working in ING is fulfilling, there is a culture of support whilst challenges. Working hours are regular but depending on the task. Management is accommodating.
Spent a year as a venture builder at ING Labs in Singapore. It did a disservice to my career. The company is highly conservative and slow to move on innovation. Seems like the department is more of a branding exercise than an actual innovation lab.
Quite laid back
Work life balance no need to do overtime
Outpatient covers family
Wellness small but at least there is
Some mobility but not that great
Nice new retail bank
Incredible Team, Super friendly and always super willing to fork out time to teach you things. managers and directors are very approachable. Generally, a flat hierarchy.
I was only there for a project, not much to tell about the company. good thing is that they gave us free food and drinks. It is a brokerage firm so they are very specific about time.
