This is a very fast paced and result driven company. People are very professional and helpful. There are lots of things to learn everyday and sometimes you just do not feel you have enough time. It is a fun place to work in although you are definitely required to make most of the efforts to survive.

Helped kick start my career goals

I started at IFF after a contract to hire position fell through at my previous job. Since it was during Covid, job security was too important to me and I got hired into quality. I’ve now moved into my dream department, and I’ve experienced an overwhelming amount of support the entire time I’ve been here. Turnover rates will vary between departments, but that is somewhat expected in manufacturing. Only other downside is not having HR onsite. Overall I’ve been happy working here.

IFF has ruined a job that I have held and mostly enjoyed for 10 years. In the past few months, insurance has gotten significantly worse, 401k match was lowered, vacation time reduced, ineffective procedures put into place, workloads have increased, and I was robbed of two vacation days. Not to mention that the holiday schedule is garbage. They took away our personal choice holidays and added extra winter holidays that no one wants.There is no room for advancement, not that I would really want to advance my career here. Demand is low for product. This place is a sinking ship.The only plusses are that my job is probably fairly secure and some of my coworkers are decent people.

Managers yell at you, for a place with bunch of grown men they act like women, everybody tells on every little thing you do wrong, do not work there, they train you on forklift for 5 mins and expect you to be an expert right away and don’t take to long they yell at you in front of everyone

Overall good company to work for

Overall, IFF is a great company to work for, they are just too political. We used to be Dupont which wasn't political at all, but since we were bought out by IFF, the political emails are constant from the new CEO. I do not want to know my place of employment's political ideations, nor should they be concerned about mine. Customer service manager is amazing, but some upper management is not understanding or respectful.

Challenging since day 1. Having joined IFF as part of a corporate acquisition, I was placed in a role I had no experience. Little effort was provided from management to assist in finding suitable positions matching my skills/ area of expertise. Preaching a culture of inclusion and diversity, they seemed to overlook the one director I had the misfortune of working with. She was not professional, and treated many people in a abrasive manner.

They aren’t going to let you move up the ladder

This company has pretty good pay and benefits but you will be sick of the place with all of the overtime. The management will act like you can move up the ladder but they never let anyone actually leave their position. Higher positions are always hired in from outside. This creates managers that don’t actually know anything about how their teams work or how to help them when their team is in a bind.

Job Security. Leadership slow to react.

Overall the Company is doing well.Marketing focused.But falling behind competition.Leadership disconnected from employee needs.Very high attrition rate and poor overall moral. Odd to be at a highly profitable company with such poor employee engagement and commitment.
