Soulless and boring
the work is very boring and bosses and colleagues are unfriendly and unhelpful. even though the pay is good, working in tech at JP morgan is soulless and your technical skill will not improve much.

Good employer.
Compliance Officer (Current Employee) - Singapore - July 11, 2023
Most employees are long stayer, many employees have been with the bank for longer than 5yrs. There is a reason why people stay. Senior management are wise enough to compensate shortcoming in line managers. They run a tight ship. Benefit is good. HR is fair and dependable. They even pay cpf on CNY angbao. A good place to be in.

Amazing people
Operation Analyst (Current Employee) - Singapore - May 18, 2023
The culture and work-life balance in this organization are truly exceptional. From my experience, I have found that the company values its employees' well-being and actively promotes a healthy work-life balance. This is reflected in the flexible work arrangements and policies that allow individuals to manage their personal and professional commitments effectively.

Toxic Team Culture
Margin and Collateral Analyst (Former Employee) - Singapore - February 20, 2023
I believe that the firm has a good culture going on with meaningful staff events and decent benefits. Unfortunately was in a team that celebrated and promoted overtime, eating at desks, selecting your leave dates etc.

Collaborative and little bit stressfull
Senior Associate (Current Employee) - Changi Business Park - September 19, 2022
It is always loads of work at the beginning but once you get experience then it becomes little bit comfortable but still workload remains. It also depends on the project and your manager.
Pros
Good medical benefits and Cash component for foreigners
Cons
Long hours and late night calls. All depends on project

Be prepared to excel in a competitive environment
Depends in the area you work in. I worked in IT and I can say that it's stressful and very fast paced. Compared to the other industries, JPMorgan has already established processes as expected of a Financial institution. If you are coming from a startup, be prepared to work in a regimented environment. Certain operational processes are not even baseline expectations at startups.
Pros
Good salary
Cons
Highly competitive

Gsoc specialist
GSOC Specialist (Former Employee) - Singapore - September 2, 2022
Fast paced , high expectation & stressful environment shift work. The overall experience depends on the manager’s ability to handle the team. In some cases , it can be draining. The job experience is overall satisfying and allows you to learn the complex style of corporate crisis management and operations. Highly recommended as a good starting point for Crisis management.

Bad
Tech Ops Technician - Regional (Former Employee) - Singapore - August 28, 2018
Terrible company to work for, no job security at all. All employee’s are dispensable. Constant change of management because they do not retain employees, almost 6 years working there then new upper management came in thinks India is better because cheaper labour then got rid of all level 1-3 employees. No commitment to employees for job security or even assistance for lateral movement.
Pros
None
Cons
A lot

Management varies, closure of departments to meet company money needs, stressful environment if working in customer service.

productivity driven firm
Associate - Technical Security Administrator (Current Employee) - Singapore - August 11, 2016
Typical day at work is like any other banking firm, daily grind is a normal scene. The big difference is that our job entails us to work beyond office hours and we are expected to provide support 24/7.
I learned that one must be at the right place and at the right time no matter what. Always expect change and be ready for it. :)
Colleagues are great and they make good team work.
Most challenging part of the job would be to always deal with ever changing policies and non-stop changes but we are glad we are always able to keep up.
Best part is there is always room to grow and opportunities to embrace. At the end of the day, it is still about loving the job you do and be able to provide for your family and live a good life.
Pros
Good Healthcare Benefits, Good Retirement Plan Benefit, great opportunities
Cons
management imbalance
