Decent workplace but high turnover rate

The work place is decent, but however it is rather fast pace as you are expected to meet your daily kpi or else you will be prioritise for retrenchment when the production demand has decrease.

Seldom required to work late. Work is fulfilling and I got good mentoring from my manager. Progression is not the best, pay is slightly below average. Start/end time is slightly flexible (depends on your direct supervisor)

-production lifestyle-depending on the station but lunch can be as short as 45 minutes to 1 hour-no clear room suit to wear-no job stability when you are a contract staff

Fun and stress free workplace

The tasks assigned in this job are relatively easy to do, as it requires you to be good with hand tools. Most colleagues there, being friendly and easy going too, are a pleasure to work with. However, the activities are repetitive and there isn't much learning or career opportunities. In other words, you won't learn as much as when you first started out. Therefore, it may be a good idea if you're looking to work there for the short term.

Good stepping stone

Good stepping stone for those who is not and engineering background to dive into Semi Conductor field since they just hiring everyone even without engineering background, and also they will provide training from scratch so you can farm experience here before changing to other companies, Work environment is good, once you complete your work, you can pretty much do whatever you like without any interruption from your higher ups until end of shift, getting leaves, MC , NPL is also not a problem here, Being permanent doesnt mean you're safe here, those who are contract employee, dont get high hope to get permanent because it is really hard to get one and as soon you can see the production line is low theres a 90 percent chances you will get retrench or your contract not renewable, so just if you get better chances in other company , dont think twice , just resign and leave, believe me i know, you dont want to get retrench

Be alert when production drops because retrenchment and contract ending will take place. Mainly if you are contract staff. The title is associate Engineer but works as Technician

Poor management

Managers cared little for it's employee's. Most work went unrecognized regardless of the work or hours you put in. Hiring and layoffs always were in flux. Pay structure is extremely poor.

Collaborative and Work-life Balance

Teamwork is very much so established in the workplace, with meetings 2-3 times weekly to be briefed on projects and its progress. Proper training was also provided to hone certain skills required for the job. The management believes in work-life balance and hence, overtime is not common. There will also be company lunches and workout programs available to participate for a small fee.

Good place to work. It allows you to do your best in work in your own way. Only risk working here is when there is a down turn in the market.

Friendly people to work with.It's a good place to work, it let's you do your best in your job.Since its a global company, you will have good network of people to work with.Minor set back is that sometimes you have to work with unreasonable customers. Because of the nature of the demand of its product, bonuses is not consistent. Also because of this dependency on the market demand, there is always a chance of organizational downsizing (retrenchment).
