Stressful and Long hours

Admin Manager (Current Employee) - Singapore - September 7, 2022

Typical long hours from 9am to 9pm on a weekday; expected to clear email on sunday in order to get ready for Monday tasks for administrator the others e.g catergory directors etc.. can stretch up to 1am in the morning to rush for some daily adhoc decks and projects for next morning 9am meeting

Pros

Free meal during mega events, Good Team work and no political games as everyone is too busy fencing deadlines

Enjoyed working with hard-working team and colleagues. High growth and teams drove exciting initiatives.Lots a great ideas with everybody pushing forward. Teams needed to learn fast and at times, pivot and adapt quickly or create fixes.

Bad company and horrible working environment. They have no empathy to new workers especially on their first day of work. They are a very fast paced company and expect everyone to keep up with their schedules. They do not hire the right kind of people to work and do not give them time to warm up with the 10-15kg worth of boxes . Not enough manpower on certain days , remaining staff will have to complete other people’s job . Occasional late lunches , late breaks - no breaks at all . Favouritism towards a certain race.

Good Experience to have an experienced in a Logistics Industry. Did alot of HRBP work related to recruitment.
