Flexible hours, great for students
Barista (Former Employee) - singapore - April 26, 2023
Indeed featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedI personally liked working there. It was really great for me especially since I am a student. The schedule was flexible and I was able to pick out hours to work.

Dont consider
Barista (Former Employee) - Changi Beach Park - March 15, 2023
Dont even consider. Other bbt companies are way better in terms of everything. Only good thing about liho is the cheap prices (as a consumer). Dont bother applying. Corporate seems uneducated for lack of better terms. Good marketing bad HR please send them for a business course. Lack of manpower but somehow there's micromanagement. Fortunate enough to only work part time, feel bad for the people still stuck there.
Pros
One free drink
Cons
Will literally kill u from lack of manpower and frustration

Horrible workplace
Food and Beverage Attendant (Former Employee) - Bukit timah plaza - February 24, 2023
Managers do not care about employee wellfare. HR does not attempt to help employees and justify managers working methods. Give you very little working schedule although they are already short on manpower.

fun workplace
part time tearista (Current Employee) - liho - February 23, 2023
quite an easy fnb job to try if ure working part time for the first time workplace culture and pay depends on which outlet u are posted to generally i think this is the most relax fnb job as u do not have to walk around serving customers n clearing plates. but need some memory work to rmb the sop so that u can do drinks fast n accurate. every few months will change new seasonal drinks to learn

stressful
Part Time Service Crew (Former Employee) - Tampines - November 2, 2022
It’s quite stressful during rush and not much time given for u to learn how to make the drinks but if you have a good team to work with it’s not that bad.

toxic environment
Part-time Barista (Former Employee) - Tampines - September 19, 2022
if you are unlucky and get bad colleagues then you will suffer throughout but if you get good ones its pretty enjoyable to say the least salary doesnt compensate the amount of work needed to do

Not an ideal company to work for
Barista (Part-time) (Former Employee) - Sengkang - June 26, 2020
- The staff welfare is very poor from the HR slow and sarcastic replies.
- The pay you get compared to the hours you’re working for is not justifiable.
- You get fined of $5 if you’re caught sitting down if resting and not have 1 month incentives.
- They expect you to always be standing even when there is no customer and you cannot take a short break.
- The seniors tend to always have better “privileges

Toxic workplace
Service Crew (Former Employee) - Seletar mall - May 24, 2020
Feeling her position threatened when I joined as a full timer in Mar, this senior crew aims to bring me down by giving me leaked thrash bag for disposal resulting in a trail of leaks from store to dump site. When questioned, she told the mall cleaners that I am the culprit. She even refused to replenish tea/toppings that run out just to witness my helplessness in front of customers at the expense of company's profit

Ok Job, but Bad Management overall
Tearista (Former Employee) - Jurong West - March 8, 2020
I worked here for a few months. Things were very poorly run overall, management was bad at communicating unless i chased after them, and i was given barely any training before being thrown into the deep end opening the store on my own and even left on my own after opening because of coworkers lateness. Your not really given training at all, theres no schedule for it and its just pot luck if the manager of the store your placed at is good at training or not. LiHos salary is low compared to others AND you have to pay for your uniform. Despite giving a totally open schedule most days/weeks i would get under 15 hrs despite being told the minimum was 20 a week. Ridiculous. I wouldnt recommend working here, there are better similar companies to work for.

Productive and fun workplace.
Barista/Cashier/Server (Current Employee) - Singapore - June 16, 2019
Very friendly environment as a workplace. Helped me learn how to get along with strangers/colleagues to complete certain tasks. It is a very fulfilling job for me as when I managed to fulfill the customer’s needs, I feel a sense of accomplishment.

Unproductive place
Bartender and cashier (Former Employee) - Eunos - May 15, 2019
I'm a part timer and I've work here 1 year and 6months but they treated us super badly. The full timers asking us to do full timer job while they resting at the side. For example like, team leader go to toilet but 30minutes later then comeback. OM keep passing drink to part timer when PT already have 3-4 cups drinks that needed to do. Also OM would work at our outlet till half way and go to other outlet. OM is being obviously bias towards other outlet.
It's a super bad management and poor salary too. Working as full timer yet getting as a part timer pay.
Pros
Free drink
Cons
Bad management

Fun workplace
Tearister (Former Employee) - Singapore - March 2, 2019
Fun and productive workplace. Average pay and stressful at times but still enjoyable. Can start making drinks within a week and work is relatively easy when not at peak hours.

Summary
Tea Bartander (Former Employee) - Woodlands - July 27, 2018
Okay, I worked some time ago there. The overall is all right.
Just a few problems.
First, they pay 6.5/hour, while other mike tea store pays around at least 7. My friend who is also an overseas student, get 8/h in KOI. Sure they say you can always upgrade your salary through SOP test. But sadly, most of the time they only want Full-time crew to do the test.
And they keep chat! The other crew talk behind others complains about everything, the other crew who is not working that shift, wired customers, and everything. And the only thing I can do is stand their super awkward try to focus on the job. Sometimes that really makes you think if they talk about you when You are not around.
Oh and the customers, I don't understand them Can you imagine someone asks for cheese avocado smoothie WITHOUT ICE!
Seriously???

Easy job and friendly environment
Supervisor (Former Employee) - Bukit Merah - July 16, 2017
1. Ensure all thing ready prepared and can be served in time before opening.Beside that serving customer and making drinks, having good conversation with staff, manage and keep the high working energy. Ensure the quality of foods and drinks, maintain the cleanliness.
2.I learned to control my own emotion , express the pressure and always be positive while working. How to solve problem and be independent, listen to customer request patiently and maintain good relationship with different type of customer. Learn to know more about customer by their appearance, style, job, education, age and position in family.
3.The most joyful and funny that keeps my whole day positive are chatting with customer, staff.Make fun with them and customer leave my shop with happiness made me feel bless. I really enjoy it and feel comfort while those customer having a good time besides just buying a drinks.
Pros
provide staff drink and staff discount
Cons
Short of staff
