The workplace environmentas leanliness is an big issue to me.
Therapy Assistant (Former Employee) - Serangoon Garden - May 16, 2022
Indeed featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedThe good part is that the job itself aren't very stressfully and working hours is not very long as well. However it is very physical exertion. Another issue is the cleanliness of the working environment is bad, as it's not an air conditioning environment thus the hot and humidity is unbearable sometimes. The best part of this job to me is that you could enjoy the freedom, in the sense that basically no supervisors would watch over you from time to time so that you have your own space to perform your own task.

Stressful
Very Low salary for the health care staffs. The management team is very bad, they have no idea what’s going on with their employees. They are only interesting in renovating the places. The increment and the bonus are very Low. Bad place to work.

Fun workplace
DAY CARE SUPERVISOR (Former Employee) - 156 SERANGOON GARDEN WAY - January 2, 2020
It is a nice environment with lots of foreign talents working together.
Most of the staff are friendly and most of the colleagues are able
to get bonded with each other. Staff are helpful and working under
no stress. Looking forward to go to work with passion, compassion and patience. Residents at Ling Kwang Home are understanding and can
co operate with staff during group exercises. Residents appreciate the
hard work of the nurses, therapist and other staff at ling kwang home.
Residents and staff are like a BIG FAMILY. Everyday, we enjoy to see
each other. The hardest part of our job is to witness the resident RIP
after we got back from weekend.

Good working environment
Staff Nurse (Current Employee) - Singapore - March 9, 2019
A typical day at work will include serving of medications, doing daily dressing, assisting in Doctor's rounds (both with NH's GP and other visiting specialists), and supervising work rendered by junior care staff.
I have learned how to handle a resident's challenging behaviors through the Institution's continuing education and also how to communicate with difficult NOKs.
The Institution's management is staff friendly.
The hardest part of the job is adapting to cater to resident's needs individually.
The most enjoyable part of the job is working with colleagues who are amiable and supportive team players.
Pros
Free meals

The company needs new strategies on handling employees.
Nurse Assistant (Former Employee) - Singapore - May 2, 2018
All the bed side care including some of staff nurses' jobs are given to nurse assistants.
I have learned to deal with patients from different culture.
I believe every employees' welfare should be taken good care of the company.
The workplace culture in Ling Kwang is good but not always.
It is really hard to render care especially if the company is not taking good care of the nurse assistants, even if the patients are so rude with the employees.
It is so glad to know and a priceless feeling if the patients appreciate your care to them.
Pros
Free meal based on shift and free accomodation
Cons
Short breaks, no insurance and no benefits.
