Fun workplace.
Retail Assistant (Former Employee) - Orchard - November 14, 2023
Indeed featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedFun if you work with the right people. But management can be improved because there's always a lack of manpower. No work-life balance, and always have to drive sales.

Helpful Part-timers & Understanding Manager
PART- Time Stylist (Current Employee) - Jem - May 31, 2023
The people there are nice and will help you on your first few days of work. You have to be committed to selling add-ons and hitting the sales, if you don't like them pestering you on those then don't join.

Not too bad ?
Retail Assistant (Part-Time) (Current Employee) - JEM - February 25, 2023
I’ve been working here for almost a year. Honestly speaking, the workload is too much and the part timers we didn’t get paid enough. They have the same expectations for both part timer and full timer. not only that, i am still a student sometimes they don’t understand my schedule.

Bad Management
Retail Assistant (Part-Time) (Former Employee) - Woodlands - February 14, 2023
Poor manpower management and lacked proper treatment of part timers. Too much pressure even though you’re not a full timer - expected to do tasks almost as much as store manager

Bad experience
Part Time Sales Assistant (Former Employee) - Bedok - February 12, 2023
mean managers and very sales obsessed that made workers uncomfortable and pressured. the pay was also very bad as $8/hr for doing everything alone is not worth it.

Too much for a part time job + bad management
Part Time Stylist (Current Employee) - Singapore - February 9, 2023
They rely a lot on part timers… I worked here thinking that as a part timer I won’t have so much responsibilities as I am a part timer after all. But working part time here means having the same roles as a full timer. The only difference is the benefits you get and as well as the hours you are required to work for. Other than that, Lovisa is super sales driven as well. Not a bad thing but I feel like it really disrupts the working experience/environment as we are busy with trying to reach the target sales for the week. On my first day I was shocked at how many things a part timer had to do. I asked a friend from another part time retail job if they had to do the things we did and she said no. For the fact that her job pays more says a lot about how bad the management of this company is.

Great colleagues
Part Time Sales Assistant (Former Employee) - Singapore - January 2, 2023
Managers were very nice and 70% discount was great but management expected alot…. even for part timers. Working hours were 2-3 hours a day and only paid $7/hour. Expected to do opening and closing alone or come into shifts just to cover full timers break.

Don’t work with them!
Full Time (Former Employee) - Singapore - November 4, 2022
I am ex employee full time. Stingy and petty management team which is now part of their company culture. Management demands a lot from you but very stingy about pay and benefits. Salary they paid us is not basic, they pay us by hourly. Messy and unorganized. Do not join them. You will regret it forever. New country / Regional manager terrible, there is so much pressure from them!

Too much for part-timers
Retail Assistant (Part-Time) (Former Employee) - Singapore - September 12, 2022
They depend a lot on part-timers which is tough especially since most that apply for that position are really young and students. I would say most can't cope well and quit right away because you have to wear too many hats/ being left alone for long hours and expected to pick up on them on the first shift. I also don't think their ethics behind the piercing services they offer is right.
Pros
If you are lucky, you can make great friends. The stuff is also exciting to look at
Cons
Unrealistic expectations

One of the most petty and stingy companies around, avoid working for them.
Regional Manager (Current Employee) - Singapore - February 4, 2022
I am in a regional management role for Asia. Stingy and petty management team which is now part of their company culture. Always trying to save small amounts of money at the expense of employee welfare and wellbeing. Unable to attract and retain talent as a result. Senior employees have little respect and understanding for Asian culture. Management demands a lot from you but very stingy about pay and benefits. Even though they are a ASX listed company but the internal organization is messy and unorganized. Do not join them. You will regret it. CEO is new and I will not rate him.
Pros
They pay a salary.
Cons
See review above.

Good experience
Retail Associate (Part Time) (Former Employee) - Jem - May 14, 2020
A good experience since it was my first part-time retail job. Got to meet a lot of different customers and improved my communication skills. Tried cashiering duties as well. However manager of store was bias and sometimes rude, sometimes okay. Co workers was okay, helped and gave advices throughout my experience there.
Pros
70% off staff discount
Cons
Biased management

Fun workplace
Retail Assistant (Former Employee) - Singapore - October 2, 2019
It can be stressful at the very beginning but along the way it is easy for you to get the hang of what needs to be done as operation and what needs to be said to convince the customers into buying our items or styling them in their own sense of fashion that they prefer

fun but management there isn't good
Part time sales assistant (Former Employee) - Woodlands - April 6, 2019
Working at Lovisa is a really fun job. My co workers there are friendly. But as a part timer you do not get a lot of working hours. Sometimes you dont get any slots. Also Lovisa doesn't have a good management.

Fun workplace
Store Manager (Current Employee) - Jem - August 23, 2018
I enjoy meeting new team members , i love keeping the store in positive environment . I’m ok with the working shift and enjoy working weekend , i felt that the management is not standardise . Some months i was underpaid , i felt sometimes our hardwork is not appreciated by the management. Its very hard to take annual leave too . What keeps me going is teamwork . What i learn in this company is about the customer service , went for training courses . How achieve a 10/10 customer service too . The hardest part of the job is when it comes to the salary payday , sometimes they didnt pay the commission, they paid us by weekly ..
Cons
Management is not standardise

Not very flexible :(
Part Time Sales Assistant (Former Employee) - Serangoon - May 14, 2018
On some days we would have to work until 2-3am due to taking down of old sales items and putting up new ones. Even though I had school/exams the next day, I was still forced to come and my manager was awful to me, always threatening me and being unhappy when I had valid reasons not to show up for work.
Pros
70% off from all items except sales
Cons
Terrible management, unflexible hours
