As a Manual SFDC/CRM Tester was good to know banking domain knowledge as well -> Agile scrum meetings with the team -> Follow up with scrum master about the product requirements

Challenging

High volume inbound calls with long hours of work - very strict with working hours, require you to clear all calls in the queue before logging off which was a bit difficult during busy periods. Team was supportive and friendly however and team leader was also understanding and helpful.

Great people and work environment

Work environment significantly depends on the team. Benefits are good, work life balance good. The hardest part was that not much room for advancement.

A truly agile workplace and a very supportive culture

Great place to work! The culture is really flat, flexible working environment, the people are really passionate about technology and they truly care about the people and practice building a strong psychological safety workplace. Also a great opportunity to advance your career as you will be given the option on how you want to pursue your goals. Pros:- Flexible working, choose when and where you want to work- Career growth- Great Culture of innovation, inclusivity and diversity - 34" curved screen monitors in all work areasCons: - Benefits are okay, but I believe they are recalibrating to remain competitive- Not much of a con, but job roles particularly in Manila are mostly focused on IT

Fun to work at

Working at Sykes is good, a very accommodating place to work at and you will enjoy working here as there are many events aside from work. You can relax and they have their own canteen and you can get free coffees

Unfair treatment from HR. Dealt with an ongoing coworker who was a bully

I reported this person to my HR manager only to be put on a improvement contract. The minute I brought up the issue that I was being bullied, I was told that I needed to improve my attitude. I tool a leave of absence because of the stress but nothing was done. I asked to switch departments but that was ignored. I also provided a witness to my situation with the other employee but still nothing improved. I decided to resign. I was brokenhearted over this. I was very excited about my future until I had this issue and I wish I would have gotten a lawyer in hindsight. This company doesn't have your back. You are the problem if you complain about a coworker. It's sad.

Great place to work

Good place to work, good people, good culture. Management is extremely efficient and know what they are doing. Great IT infrastructure in place to best work with clients. Culture is great, work hard play hard mantra

Call centre environment

expected to work long hours and often overtime which isnt compensated for in the mortgages team. I worked as a home loan consultant and we were expected to do 'buffer hours' some weeks of upto 3 extra hours in a week which were unpaid as management would say that it is included in contract (but never told until after onboarding).Team leaders are nice

I had really smart and caring managers and learned very much from them early in my career. The company paid little under the industry standard but had good benefits.

Good quality of work but no work life balance

Companies pays you as good and work quality is good but work life is pathetic. There are many ad-hoc works and project being pushed from senior management which results in lack of work life balance

Overall great company

Depends on what department and your manager. Some people love it, some don’t. It’s not my favorite job but certainly not my least favorite. It’s a large and complicated company. It’s a lot to learn and hopefully you have a team that trains you.

Overworked and underpaid

Learned a lot, was super busy and worked nonstop and pay was a lot lower than at competitors which was disheartening. Overall good culture but just should have hired more people

Macquarie Leaders are Perpetual Career Mis-managers

They play with people's careers. Management Trainees/Associate/Senior Associate are hired for a particular team where their teams are forcibly changed after a period.Macquarie brands this as "promoting internal mobility amongst departments" which is actually "forced mobility".Have seen/heard numerous cases where employee is made to change teams frequently. All this while the current role still exists in the current team.This is majorly due to mis-management of hiring by senior leaders and lack of empathy for the employees career and the practice is widely followed within FMG division.Additionally, their is no skill development both in the existing and the new role, so don't be mislead by the same.Company doesn't need Chartered Accountants or professionals indeed they require technology guys and good project managers to manage their broken and heavily manual driven processes while management is in constant denial.Nothing is sustainable here, sustainability is a joke.Refrain from joining this organization.

Long hours, Extremely manual driven processes with no learning and growth, Bad senior leadership, FMG division is the worst

Collaborative workplace with great networking opportunities

Overall, the company really cares about its employees. There are plenty of great networking opportunities, and you can easily schedule to have a conversation with top executives. The company tends to have a flat structure with entrepreneurial spirit
