Toxic culture in gdm

Good mid year bonus but attrition is an everyday occurrence. High alert is expected every single day. Also very high turn over over the years. Gdm is the best example. Generally, employee's suggestions are not important - Never at all. Those who went forward to do so have already left the company. Generally, HR does nothing about staff grievances. Typical day, some staff would be so overloaded that they leave office past midnight. The management before 2012 is worthy of the name "good bosses".

Pros

A decent name to put on resume.

Cons

No room for human error starting from day one. Multi tasking. People stay not because of loyalty, only for the mid year bonus. Treated as a pawn on management's chessboard.

Exciting and challenging environment with good remuneration

Friendly colleagues within fast paced environment, management is very focused on meeting business objectives, delivering results year on year. Good remuneration package comparing to my peers in other industry.

Mapletree before 2012 was a good place to work in, ever since the management reshuffle 2012, now it's just a depressing place run by idiots and incompetents, the remaining staff were either looking for other opportunities or waiting for a severance package to get out

Financially strong but culture is toxic

Financially strong, very focused on numbers and KPIs. Colleagues are great and helpful. However culture within my BU was toxic. Blame culture. Mistrust of staff. Bonus is good, if only you are in the good books of the boss who decides who gets what, which makes the performance appraisal system a CYA wayang exercise.
