Community Partnership in Simei
on July 5, 2023
Not much long term department direction and vision for growth
The department i worked, the managerial positions and Community Partnership position resignation rate are rather high. So there are opportunity for promotion to fill in the vacancy. Do not be surprised that the newly employed department head is young ( below 30 yrs old) and inexperienced. Therefore, style of managing a centre fluctuate (like roller coaster) over a period of time. Not only this, th...

Bad working environment, with toxic management
Be prepared for endless paperwork, be part of the clique to stay safe or else get kicked out. Unreasonable HOD and LH. Extremely high turnover rate. Not a place to work at.

Extremely toxic workplace.
Work will be given more than you could handle. Despite the “head” always said when it is too much to handle, let him know. Too many fake people around.

Good for experienced teachers
Work culture is not very collaborative as senior teachers tend to complain instead of helping new teachers to learn and grow. Management is very rigid and not open to new changes. E.g. even though we have zoom meetings we need to physically come to school to attend a meeting online. If you are an experienced teacher you can thrive here. Be sure to let management know what work you are doing.

First job and passion
Must be passionate in teaching students with special needs. Must be flexible and adaptable in teaching strategies, use of classroom materials and IEPs
