NTU is a great workplace

I studied and worked in NTU, in a laboratory-based environment. The HR in NTU is great. The campus is beautiful. The laboratories are well-equipped with various facilities.

Not-too-rigid work hours, nice campus, people from all over the world, and excellent infrastructure. There is pressure to deliver but manageable. Many opportunities to learn from peers and superiors.

Very good place

Good place for a work-life balance. People are friendly here, bosses are nice, staffs are helpful. Especially, Singapore is a safe place where you don't have to worry once you're walking outside at night.

School of biological sciences is a great place to work. I had good time doing research and learned a lot. Work culture is good but had some difficulties in accessing the central facilities for our genomics experiments.

Lack focus

Tough work but you can write good papers

It depends on the supervisor of a group whether a job is hard or not. My boss requires me hard working, so it is hard for me. However, I can submit very good papers in good journals. If you want to write good papers, this is good working place.

RFIC design
Research Fellow (Former Employee) - Singapore, S00 - December 14, 2013
Researched and developed a series of RFIC and MMIC projects ranging from UHF to millimeter
wave bands. Fulfilled circuit and EM simulation, layout and physical verifications on design from
basic modules to whole transceiver level. Delivered GDSII files to foundry, prepared test plans and
perform measurement for dies. Measurement data were collected for comparing with simulation
data and tuning the circuit performance if necessary before the second tapeout.
