NTU is a great workplace

I studied and worked in NTU, in a laboratory-based environment. The HR in NTU is great. The campus is beautiful. The laboratories are well-equipped with various facilities.

Good university with ample opportunities for growth

Not-too-rigid work hours, nice campus, people from all over the world, and excellent infrastructure. There is pressure to deliver but manageable. Many opportunities to learn from peers and superiors.

Excellent facilities, beautiful campus

Young university with various top notch research labs. Collaborative research efforts are encouraged. No plan in place for career development of post docs.

Very good place

Good place for a work-life balance. People are friendly here, bosses are nice, staffs are helpful. Especially, Singapore is a safe place where you don't have to worry once you're walking outside at night.

Great place to work

School of biological sciences is a great place to work. I had good time doing research and learned a lot. Work culture is good but had some difficulties in accessing the central facilities for our genomics experiments.

Lack focus

Although the job has many benefits, the lack of focus and seriousness in creating products out of their research is really demoralizing.

Tough work but you can write good papers

It depends on the supervisor of a group whether a job is hard or not. My boss requires me hard working, so it is hard for me. However, I can submit very good papers in good journals. If you want to write good papers, this is good working place.

RFIC design

Researched and developed a series of RFIC and MMIC projects ranging from UHF to millimeter wave bands. Fulfilled circuit and EM simulation, layout and physical verifications on design from basic modules to whole transceiver level. Delivered GDSII files to foundry, prepared test plans and perform measurement for dies. Measurement data were collected for comparing with simulation data and tuning the circuit performance if necessary before the second tapeout.
