Fulfilling work

The work is fulfilling despite it's dealing with members of public. As long you are not bothered by office politics (every workplace will have for sure), you will adapt to the workplace in no time.

Pros

Work life balance

Balance

As Licensing Officers, some of our duties include conducting inspections of Foodshops as well as providing face-to-face consultation to the public. If we aren't on duty and meeting the public, our job is desk-bound which consists of processing o applications. On that basis, the job is pretty much a balance of meeting people outdoors and also indoors, back-of-office work.

Pros

Staff benefits

Cons

Understaffed, low in manpower

Fun and comfortable environment

Comfortable and friendly atmosphere. Easily accessed back and forth to the office. Excellent leadership qualities from manager and team leaders. The hardest part of the job would be travelling mostly islandwide within the stipulated GRCs otherwise, it's easy to manage and work well. I like it very much as I get to work independently too.
