Overall rather boring and unproductive.
Temporary Patient Associate (Former Employee) - Kallang - September 25, 2023
Indeed featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedWhat is the best part of working at the company? Staff are friendly and helpful. What is the most stressful part about working at the company? The new recruits are too "competitive and selfish at times". What is the work environment and culture like at the company? Regimented to a certain extent. What is a typical day like for you at the company? Assisting patients navigating in the premises. Guiding covid patients exiting via designated exit. Sanitising areas and preventing other non covid patients from entering the designated exit. The whole day stationing at the specific exit can be quite mundane and boring.

Workplace equity and stability
Medical Technologist (Current Employee) - Singapore - January 19, 2017
We cater to providing primary healthcare to approximately 2 million people in Singapore. In diagnostics, we provide patients and healthcare professionals with timely and accurate diagnostic results to patient. We interact with patient to acquire biological specimens before processing the samples in the laboratory and finally releasing the results to healthcare professional to aid them in accurately diagnosing the patient. I have learnt many technical and soft skills from venipuncture, operating a range of healthcare diagnostics machines, quality control, being detail-oriented to handling public relations toward patients and doctors. I work with a small team of medical technologist that aid each other hand in hand to complete the enormous amount of tasks required, with good team spirit. The hardest part would be the number of audits we have to conquer a year but the most enjoyable part would be knowing we had a part in helping someone get better or manage chronic illnesses.
Pros
Learnt many soft skills
Cons
Fussy patients, Demanding Drs.

Senior Executive (Current Employee) - Singapore - April 20, 2015
No comments as the workplace environment and cultures differs from dept to dept and even institutions. Therefore while it may be true for my currently dept may not be so for other dept. There is a lack of synergy among the various depts and institution as well as duplication of work and resources.

Jobs at National Healthcare Group
A very good learning curve
Accounts assistant (Former Employee) - Commonwealth - February 12, 2015
I applied for this job in order to gain some experience which might be able to give me a heard start in my career. My direct boss taught my many things, even those which are not included in my job scope. She took the time out to teach me things which she did not have to. She taught me how to use ORACLE (basic) and even how to handle clients. She's a veteran in her field and a good example to learn from. All in all I've learnt a lot from her and enjoyed my experience there as an accounts assistant.
Pros
Good teacher
Cons
None
