My day starts with checking emails, if I am not receiving overseas academics on visits, following emails, I am usually in discussion with my colleagues on payment / procurement matters or the bosses on hiring status. By then its usually afternoon and another round of emails going around. The work pace is fast and requires precision. the staff need to be aware of the policy and the know-how in terms of application. My emails can cross sub-ordinates to senior management depending on the situation at hand. the hardest part of the job is the level of multi tasking required because each task is versatile and requires specific background knowledge - the nicest part is a simple thank you to be honest. As co-workers we recognise each other's demands that need to be fulfilled within the work day.
