Appreciate the flexible/remote schedule

Do not work in HR in Irvine.

Very toxic environment, everyone is in it for themselves and HR does not defend its employees. The structure as well is horrible, avoid at all costs. You either have to be family or friends in order to make it up the ladder. Please find something else and do not work here for the benefit of your career.

Totally Disfunctional Company

Manager (Former Employee) - USA - November 11, 2019

They never provided guidance on targets, changed management every 6 months, and their method of hitting targets by senior management was to eliminate positions. The current management will receive bonuses, while others are found without a job, because they have no idea on how to run the business. My recommendation would be to leave the company or never go to work for such a place. I wish that I had known how disfunctional the company was prior to joining.

Typical corporate dysfunction

Was recommended through employee referral. Direct manager was decent but upper management could care less about team members. Direct manager quit and was replaced with an new manager that has a vendetta against anyone who doesn't agree with him. He was out to ruin anyone's life that got in his way and made it his personal agenda to destroy him/her. Work became very harassing and hostile environment. NKF is not a bad company but it pales in comparison to its competitors.

A growing company with some challenges

Newmark was a great company but suffered quite a few challenges stemming from its rapid growth acquisitions and spin-offs. Management shuffles led to significant staff cuts unrelated to job performance.

FRONT DESK COORDINATOR (Former Employee) - Portland, OR - July 1, 2019

While the job itself was fairly easy, the culture here was a killer. The manager played favorites and would lie directly to your face. I even spoke with HR about several people and was told "yeah, we've had an issue with this employee for a while".. how it that acceptable? The only good part was the time off being paid, otherwise, unless you want to be degraded on a daily basis, avoid this place.

Account Manager needs to adjust better

In two years their was 13 managers quit in 6 months very poor management company very controlling did not care for the employee left out contract employees who will sign on with new ownership never work for this company you will be miserable operation manager.

Lease Abstractor dept was like family

I was at the company for almost 10 years and this was the most fun I had of any job. Teamwork, support, relaxed, and not just my department it was across all departments. Sorry they laid off my dept and subsequent departments and restructured the whole company.

Just another toxic male-dominated culture workplace

Brokers talk crudely about other brokers every day. There's a lack of respect for the salary employees, they are just treated as robots and the brokers always think their own work is top priority. Brokers will visibly throw tantrums / yell at people on the phone. You are judged only by what you can produce. The company is at your beck and call if you produce high commissions, and will overlook bad behaviors. They have too much at stake. Hours can get long. Benefits are not good. Company is just doing ok - stay a max of two years. There's no career advancement.
