Constant growth and opportunity for EC educator
Management depending on the district and RO. Great place to grow as an EC educator as there’s alot of trainings and career progression. However, dealing with young children is not an easy task. Have to be patient and passionate in the things you do daily.

Friendly & Collaborative Place
Not all PCF centres are the same as it really depends on your district, work culture & Centre Principal (CP). Of course, benefits, pay & job description wise, they will be the same. I am lucky to have helpful & fun colleagues to work with. There is a career progression chart & it usually takes 3 - 5 years to be promoted from preschool teacher to a senior teacher. However, the relationship with your CP will affect that & what's promised can be taken away at any moment. So, sometimes there is a lack of security & it can be stressful to receive messages after work. Pay increment is slow & starting pay is probably lower than private schools. They follow ECDA's recommended teacher-child ratio so if you are expecting a small group then you should go for private schools that offer lower teacher-child ratios.

Poor leadership and lack of teamwork
The centre is not organised. The centre principal cannot conduct herself well as a professional, lack of self-respect, no experience to lead the mega centre. There is no mentor to guide new candidates.
