Pros: Oppotunities for inter-departmental initiatives and projectsCons: Employee welfare is bad especially for support departments, renumeration is bad, salary increment is very bad, treatment of support staff lack respect, company profit is deemed more important than staff welfare, appreciation and renumeration (much lower than public hospital) . Turnover rate is high. Staff are overworked and stressed. Work responsibilities definition of different departments have many grey areas and is a minefield for arguments and pushing around of work, the conclusion of which is too dependant on HOD's stand of staff welfare protection even if the work should not belong to department. Staff are expected to (especially suoport staff) respond to work texts and calls even when on leave/ mc/ weekend/ after office hours while extra effort is not appreciated and deemed as mandatory. Staff are hinted to bring work home and also OT. Executive and above no OT pay and sometimes hinted not to claim time off as a show of dedication although staff is entitled to. Some revenue generating departments' staff have some very disrespectful and demanding attitude towards support department staff.

Lots of politics and favourism

Toilet time being monitored. Lesser staffs with a very heavy work load. Difficulties getting leaves when needed. MC or urgent leave is regarded as an offence. Lunch time will be called back to assist customers. Customer service staffs have to push wheelchair patients without training and lift heavy luggages. Walking with atleast a minimum of 20 patients up to the room and doing room orientation. Managers will ask other department staffs regarding your performance and your whereabouts.

Bad management unfair superiors poor staff treatment

Doctors focuses more on salesmenship than treatment, nurses and management just tries to cut corners for their own comfort and benefits. Superiors & management doesn't plan the ops properly when it comes to their own staff and to cut cost they can shorten period of your contract and can even reduce your working hours. Prepare yourself to be cheated, illtreated when it comes to payment when you are employed through recruitment agencies at this institution.

Ok place to work but not too long.

Actually the work at Parkway Pantai is good no problem with work because I am willing to learn. The bosses and the management people are very not nice people to work with, not all but some of them. Some are extremely nice. There is no appreciation and recognition. The turnover at Parkway Pantai is very high.

Pros

Yes, we are given $60/- coupon for food every month.

Cons

I worked from 8am to 5pm (weekdays) and 8am to 12 noon every alternate Saturday.

Alot of legacy and politic issues.

Not alot of work life balance.Many legacy issues.Not open to change.Poor upper management.Slow systems.Slow progression or none at all.Moderate bonus.Good learning and training provided by college. Not much activities or fun events to look forward to.

Cumbersome operational issues, "helicopter" senior management culture, non-inspiring , non-motivational, political.

Non-nurturing, non-inclusive leadership. Private organisation laden with bureaucracy and red-tapes. A private organisation that is filled with narrow minded bureaucrats with lack of empathy and no sincerity in developing the real talents but keeping their own mediocre favourites. Intolerant of alternative opinions, insecured of own position & authority. If you had shared truths, opinions, constructive criticism of the senior management with honest intention to improve work, culture and morale of the ground employees, you would be "debarred" from joining the organisation again no matter how good and talented you are.

Favoritism

They have favoritism in the workplace. No staff warfare at all. Management got sympathy towards the staff at all . No proper protocol & discipline in the workplace.

Team work and productive

Working in parkways is fun . The relations within departments are very cooperative . One can prolong in the company for many years . The tough time is just the task so we get busy but happy.

stressful workplace

I was the 2nd incharge at engineering dept. With technicians who have been there since day 1, they were accustomed to olden way of doing things and decided not to participate in any change management programmed.

Able to finish work within timeline given. Learn a lot about health issues. Hardest part is to handle and pacify difficult customers. Get to pat on my back for good reviews given by customers for good customer service given.

Happy working surrounding working enviroment

When I was working together with Mt Elizabeth hospital(Parkway Pte Ltd) I felt that was a happy time in my life. Though working life was full of rush hours but the meal provided by Mt.E was good and the accomodition provided by Mt.E was comfortable located near hospital. And all the supervisor treated me good and salary also enough of living cost. Thank you alot.

Management is horrible

Favouritism is a big thing and people can get away with many things they do wrongly as long as they suck up to the manager/ supervisor. Unfair situations everywhere and promotion is so rare u almost will never get promoted regardless of how competent your are. But if you manage to be one the the "favourites" then u will be promoted regardless of how ignorant you are in your work.

FM department

The FM department has a HOD practices favouritism, he promotes and acknowledge those who carry his balls even though they do not do their assigned tasks properly..you will have abright future in Parkway East Hospital's FM department if your are the boss's bootlicker type.

Pros

Parkway East Hospital is a cozy and a small building to maintain..

Cons

FM department's HOD is not the type of boss you would want to work with, practices favouritism and doesnt really have technical background and knowledge, but acts like he's a pro.
