Fulfilling but can be busy with low pay

Indeed featured review

The most useful review selected by Indeed
Worked part-time at Pepper Lunch as a waitress, cashier, and sometimes kitchen staff. Learnt loads about how to handle kitchen-related duties, roles as a cashier/ in charge of pick-up etc. Management has been gracious, accommodating to our schedules the best they can. Culture is also decent, with seniors being friendly to help juniors whenever needed. The hardest part would have to be working on days without enough manpower, but coworkers are always ready to help when youve tried your best and ask for help because you really do need help.

Overload work and poor Management

Working overload is due to not enough manpower for work. Poor management is due to hard to apply annual leave is because lack of manpower also. Overall the month pay is good is because you have alot of time to do overtime so that pay is good after added the overtime pay. Overall for the company is average.

Pros

Free Lunch and Dinner

Cons

Long hour, Overload job

Productive and fun workplace

The managers there are caring and patient when it comes to teaching new crew members and the full timers are also willing to lend a helping hand when the new comers are unsure.

Pros

Cons

May be tiring and hot plates are heavy

Specific and care about the details

Is a Japanese restaurant, working inside the kitchen as chief assistant has to be aware of the cleanliness and work efficiency. every proportion of the ingredient has to measure by the weight balance to make sure the quality the meal is consistent. The hardest part would be those moment during weekends. too many customers is hard for me to keep the ingredient control to be in extreme accuracy.

Pros

train myself to be specific and very alert.

Cons

tiring due to constantly focus.
