Nice environment, but the appraisal not really fair in my opinion.
Depends on your line manager subjective evaluation. if you are the favorite one then you are lucky and can get promoted very fast. Otherwise nothing much happen.
I joined Philips as an automation engineer and it was very new to me. I struggled at the beginning but because of my manager's support, I was able to perform well during my intern. The work-life balance was good in Philips.

Management and on the ground staff are not moving in the same direction with management not knowing what is going on in the markets and industries.
Unrealistic management views and expectations and making the capable staff leave while retaining those with political and hidden agenda
The company do not take care of their employees, which suppose to be their greatest asset. For example, they did not provide accomodation or money for most their associates stationed overseas. Lastly, the company is not adequately diversified...diversification is still in its infancy
You assigned to a product project. Everyone was helpful. The supervisors were always hard working since they took care of the whole product. As an intern you can know the whole picture of product design.

Generally manager give full support to engineer to achieving project goal.
Can have very hectic project timeline and request strong dedication to meet project target.

I have always enjoyed working at Philips since day 1. The employees that I have been working with, never fail to teach me something new when I have doubt. They are constantly helping one another no matter what their positions are. Every day, there is always development with regards to new problems that were encountered.
