Very great company

I love working here but my current relocation is not fit to work in this company anymore. Company culture is superb - very family oriented company. Expect stress at work but that will help you grow your career.

Always challenging and set rules for the right reason

A clean work environment with lots of opurtunity to learn new things, They take safety seriously and eventually I learnt for good reason.I found it frustrating I could no longer spend the time standing and walking which is required even to go to break or lunch,I enjoyed the challenges , the people and management were good to work with and we were treated fair.I believe I took my job too serious and would let things bother me too long .

Pros

Always treat the people fair

Cons

Alot of walking, hard on legs and feet

What is the best part of working at the company? When I worked there (prior to 2000) it was a great company with lots of opportunity. Then it seemed they drove a lot of people out on purpose. So while I had a great career, others may not find the same circumstances today. What is the most stressful part about working at the company?management - Even if you are a top performer and your boss is not, it's an up or out mentality and your lower performing boss can decide to axe you. Never mind that you've always had good reviews - no one will save youWhat is the work environment and culture like at the company?a lot of smart people but a lot of egos as wellWhat is a typical day like for you at the company?always busy and challenging which I liked

Fast paced and boring

fast paced work, will often send people home if they arent needed that day. if you finish your work early you'll get sent home as well which can be difficult if you need the 40 hours to get by

A great place to learn & grow

I worked here 12 years. Had some hiccups in succession planning and had some hold ups in pay increases but overall I learned a lot. A lot of the skills are mandatory, some are optional, but there are a lot of opportunities to grow. My personal cons were working the rotating 12 hour shifts while I’m production. But if you are vocal, you opinions are received and considered. Working in leadership positions, fresh ideas are welcomed and creativity is encouraged. I worked 8 years in a producing department, 5 as a technician, 3 as a team leader. The last 4 in a department leadership role in the warehouse which was my favorite. Highly recommended.

Pay is fair but the opportunity to advance is slim to none

Ok place to work for only if u can manage to deal with the Favoritism. The Favoritism is obvious there not even trying to hide the fact your doing most of the work while some is handpicked to do nothing at all but smoke in the parking lot and take 30min random breaks when they desire.

Productive workplace

Learned a lot about lean manufacturing. The best place for learning FMCG industry, IWS systems. People are the best the operatirs and technicians. Always positive and helpful. Management is okay but not perfect.

Wish they never shut down

This was an amazing company to work for. Pay and bonuses were great, coworkers were helpful and they offered workers the opportunity to transfer to other sites when they shut down. I would still be with P&G if I was able to move from the area at the time

Threaten your job daily

Every day you will hear or see signage telling you if you do this or don't do that you will be fired. Have company policies that go against each other. The damned if you do damned if you don't.

Great place to work as a neuro-diverse person

1) A typical day at work: normally regular paced but fast and busy at month-end2) What you learned: Lots of technology, automation, coding, robotics etc. without having any IT qualifications since P&G offers excellent support to learn from mentors, peers and P&G paid courses3) Management: Great at listening; takes all concerns really seriously; if a manger is even unintentionally unfair, you can always approach other senior managers even at other global P&G venues who really help to resolve issues with your local center; hence, you can be sure that there will always be someone who will listen to you, help resolve issues fairly and justly4) Workplace culture: nice, lovely and friendly5) The hardest part of the job: Newcastle Centre requires a lot of communication with stakeholders which can be over-whelming for neuro-diverse people; however, both HR and managers do take this into account and confines communication to the extent you can manage without getting stressed6) The most enjoyable part of the job: Lots of opportunities for innovation, automation, robotics, AI, etc within both financial and non-financial functions; most managers and peers are super sweet and really nice human beings which turns every day into an enjoyable experience...

Pros

Pro neuro-diversity, lovely managers mentors and peers, excellent training, prepares you so well that work at other organizations seems like piece of cake

Cons

Poor salary structure, overall very very slow promotion

a good place to work if you looking for slow but secured working environment.

Everything depend on manager you will get. With qualified and supportive leader opportunities are very high!I was not that lucky, but saw the good examples, so it is possible.

Opportunities on the Horizon

It’s a wonderful company to have a career. You have chance for growth, salary is competitive and strong networking opportunities. Definitely would recommend.

Kinda rhetoric boring job, bureaucratic

Manufacturing is not ideal for a college graduate, but for a married person, P&G provides amazing stability. They don't take your preference before allocating a department which is a bummer and its hard to switch internally

Pros

Free lunches

Cons

Work during weekend

stability in product supply

old school minded, strong process orientation but little external focus or digital acumen. straight talk does not exist (preached a lot). retirement is outdated and not competitive. to get ahead need to delegate and not help others (despite culture of helping). poor locations and expectations to relocate to poor locations. good place to build skills and then move on to your pick of job.

Good Pay...Great benefits, long hours, shifts switch from day to night

Good Pay. Long hours, people could be nicer. I think the job description is misleading, you think you going to be a technician, but end up doing alot of book work, and testing, on alot of different things. Would be nice to focus on 1 thing, but you are put in alot of different areas, with very little training, long hours. Long days. Long nights.
