Good pay for hard workers
Vaccinator (Current Employee) - Raffles Hospital - December 17, 2022
Indeed featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedA very professional environment that emphasize on top quality service but old-school top-down management style. You will be rewarded handsomely for working hard. However, as a human, it takes a toll on you and your energy. I often lose a lot of sleep if working back-to-back shifts and spend most of my weekends recovering it. Over-time tends to be the norm as the management refuse to hire the necessary employees in case of leaves, off-days or MCs. The management is highly profit driven so they will scrimp and save on various things, relying on pure effort from the employees. They management seem to have a conservative mindset like “it has always been this way and it works, no need for change” and is not keen to changing workflow even if it may increase efficiency.
Pros
Good pay
Cons
Tendency to over-time

Everything Everywhere All at Once in a GP clinic
Pharmacy Technician (Current Employee) - East Singapore - April 11, 2023
Everybody does the same type of work (i.e. registration, dispensing) be it a nurse, PT or PSO. The workload is not evenly delegated among workers of the same rank. Lack of opportunities to learn new skills and knowledge to flourish in their domain except for the necessary skills (i.e. CPR/ AED, dispensing). Extremely long working hours rostered as day and night shifts, and sometimes, back to back. Colleagues are easy-going and help out one another in every way possible.

No work life balance, long hours, poor management

Management will not understand staff feedback and they will just ignore it. Poor management always scare of complaint but didn't give concern to staff until they resign.

Decadent work process
Executive (Current Employee) - Raffles - April 24, 2022
Despite its MNC branding, the company operates similarly to an SME. Decision are very much Top down. Staff are often over stretch and overloaded with too much work. Little appreciation was given and effort goes unrecognised in the organisation. Workflow processes are also too complicated and complex, which requires much streamline. However, there will too many legacy issues and inter-deparment issues to resolve before any changes can be made. On the other hand, career advancement is pretty standard, andprogressive, loyalty towards company is valued, rather than work performance alone. Hence, it's suitable for employees who valued job stability, with a lower KPI. Salary is often benchmark lower than market rates, hence always negotiate for a higher salary before joining.

stressful place
Internship student (Former Employee) - Sengkang - December 24, 2019
A typical day at work include registeration of patients, health screening check ups, circulating cards for doctors, dispensing of medication etc.
I have learnt the most from this job such as to operate the electrocardiogram, to do dressings for patients, health screenings, different instruments used for minor surgeries and many medications used in our clinic.
The management in this company is however really poor because there is always short of manpower and we will always have to work even when we are unwell. Due to long hours of working, many of us made lots of mistakes while typing medication and so on.
The culture is great at times when we get to bond with the doctors and nurses but sometimes it is too busy/ fast-paced that we hardly have time to interact, this i feel is the hardest part of the job because it makes everything so stressful. Even with lack of manpower, no one is really there to guide you with everything properly.
Pros
medical benefits
Cons
no work life balance and poor management

Account Manager (Current Employee) - Singapore - November 24, 2019
There is always challenge that waiting for you to resolve daily. It can be scary for new comers who just came on board. However, if you are able to pul through after 6 months; nothing is impossible. However, it can be extreme challenging whenever doctor giving you problems. Just stay strong, enjoy and you will be able to see the tunnel at the end of the light.

A place where hard work is rewarded.

The company is a place that allows an individual to perform according to their potential on the duties assigned to them. It is, in fact, a great place to work at.

Perfect for Motivated Individuals
Assistant Manager (Former Employee) - Raffles Hospital - August 4, 2019
It is an extremely fun environment if you are self driven and independent; opportunities are provided if you put in the effort to prove yourself and hungry for growth. Though you would have to be able to maintain open communication on what you are looking for and before rocking the boat, be sure to have done your homework. Overall, I've enjoyed my tenure with the company.

Professional and Keep moving
Operations Executive (Current Employee) - Bugis - January 2, 2019
My job scope is to supervise and ensure the smooth operation of the clinic and to manage the operation of the daily clinic. With good management, continuous advancement and transformation, leading the company to grow.
Due to different cultures and different languages, the hardest part is dealing with customers in different countries. I like to work in this environment. This made me come into contact with many people in different positions and they taught me a lot.
Pros
Have opportunity to attend external courses
Cons
mid shift, long hour

Not a good place to work with. High turnover rate.
Credit Control & Billing Executive (contract) (Former Employee) - Bugis - September 13, 2018
- very bad middle management, absolutely no support
- old outdated system both hardware and software
- multiple different software systems that crashes now and then.
- No proper training given to newcomers
- absolutely no work/ life balance, we basically work seven days a week and easily up to nine or ten in the evening.
- Terrible benefits
- still very manual in this time and days, executives are spending more time sorting up documents, printing documents and sending them manually, instead of trying to improve on company's process.
