Decent place to work
Assistant Manager (Current Employee) - Sentosa - June 13, 2023
Indeed featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedYour experience will vary greatly from depending on the supervisor you are reporting to and the department you work in. Management instructions are always unclear, directors or managers often have to guess what is preferred by the boss. KPIs are repetitive and do not help with the actual work, eg every year you have automation projects but no one is ending work on time. People are encouraged to ask questions, but more often than not the questions are ridiculous and you can tell that they have been trained to ask before they even think properly (even as managers). Career progression is bad since the old staffs will always be holding the same limited management positions. Salary is average.

Fun workplace while it lasted
IT Manager (Former Employee) - Singapore - January 1, 2022
Great place to work if you are a newbie. Bad place to work if you want progression. Progression is based on who you know and not based on work merits. Horrible management style from top to bottom - no foresight of the future for both the employees and the company.
Pros
On the job training Rapid change is always a norm
Cons
Long hours, Zero work life balance, Rapid change is always a norm, Zero appreciation of service in the company

Warmest advices
Cleaner (Former Employee) - Singapore - November 21, 2021
performance rating by supervisors is very subjective; dialect-oriented working environment, generally Cantonese speaking with superior, your life would be better there; over responsibities including part of supervisor and manager duties; will be sacked off anytime unless excellent social skills or hidden background. Good experience to serve customers around the world before Covid; made friends and collegues mostly from Asia; work-life balance as no 24/7 on call depending on your position. Relatively good pay for foreigner freshgrad only.
Pros
Canteen style free lunch
Cons
Management

Follow and carry out orders, limited learning opportunity, sent for courses of low value to prevent employees from gaining appreciable skills and jumping ship because of lack of advancement opportinuty. Relatively agreeable colleagues but much of the team has left. Typical management with same complaints as everywhere else. Meals provided but quality has dropped
Pros
free lunch
Cons
<3% increment, low number of leave days, zero advancement

Great environment
Manager (Current Employee) - Resorts World Sentosa - February 28, 2020
Very busy work environment. Plenty of inclusion and location is very trendy. Management is very competent and makes you feel welcome.
The environment can feel a bit too much like college and there are visible cliques so you must involve yourself in the company culture to advance.

Too backdated and traditional working style

The working style in Resorts World Sentosa Corporate Office departments is quite backdated. They are slow to innovate and be updated with the latest work trends or ride on the latest technology advancements.
Pros
Free meals
Cons
No work-life balance, Too traditional in thinking and management

Pleasant working experience
Manager, Japan Sales & Marketing (Former Employee) - Singapore - October 20, 2019
Overall, work and life balance was relatively good. The senior management personnel were replaced every year, so it had a very negative impact on the entire work force. However, it is a great gorgeous resort with nice hotels and attractions with USS & SEA Aquarium as well as the casino. Many colleagues were helpful, and it was a great working environment. I recommend that my friends to work there just to taste the uniqueness & excitement of RWS.
