Big politics internally

Terminate employees for no reason.zero safety culture to the company.People on the top doesn’t even know English.VERY BAD POLITICSBad COMPANY and treats employees very bad

Lack of work life balance

As big organisation with complex system and procedure made slow it for any positive change.Location very remote, long journey, No work life balance , Some people need to work hard (overload) but some people very relax (very less reponsibility).Management not doing well, make a big lost of company profit and impact to employee benefit.

Learning new experience

Learned new things but lack of advancement for staff.career opportunities are for new people and to speak to supervisor for advancement are hard.but salary and work stability are there if you are employed as full time staff.

Inner politics

Security department managed by a unqualified personal with unprofessional mindsets. Staff who got qualifications abandoned purposely. The working environment is harsh. The most worst working culture in Megayard.

No fun work place. No nearby mall . At remote area.

Not a good place to work for. Transportation have to pay. Company never care of staff hospitality n benefits. Increment only less than $50. No benefits. No bonuses. Longer hours work with 45 mins lunch.

Work life balance.

In my point of view, working in Sembcorp is wok life balance. Mostly is documentation job, on site visiting is quite easy to me. I m happy in Sembcorp Marine as a QAQC Inspector.

Environmentally unfriendly

Super V scheme. Not really worth the salary compared to many potential hazards and danger. Environmentally unfriendly working area. Only for rugged people

For Fresh grads or stepping stone

This company will follow the old school way of work since the company was found in the 60s. So for youngling who is fresh grads or just ended their National service i would recommend this working place for stepping stones.

I really have good experience

I really have a good experience in sembcorb marine, because everyday learn new things and meet with peoples. I have experience in enforcement the company rules and regulations. A good experience with pandemic covid, with enforcement company policies.

Salary is low compared to market rate, even for temp staff

The whole pace of temp assignments given to me had low per hour rate for temp staff. I also heard feedback from other perm staff that salary was also low for them. I wouldn't encourage anyone to apply there unless you are contended with the salary range for the position.

A good place to learn about offshore platform construction

The company conducts in house training regularly from product knowledge to safety aspect. It has ongoing gathering events within the company as well as with clients for each completion of project for good learning experience. Great time interact with colleagues and management.

Workplace is not convenient, no public transport, need to reply on company shuttle bus.

Workplace is far from MRT station, have to rely on company transport/shuttle bus, most of time Taxi/Grab are not willing to take order. NO grab food/food delivery.

Fun workplace

Friendly working environment but terrible HR department. Able to learn along the journey there and everything is fine but the HR depatment doesn't pay respect to those especially working on site, striking excellence for the company. This is a terrible culture in a project based organization.

Chaotic

when i left the company, it has some transition going on, so the whole work environment is not suitable. Boss took others job from other department and assigned to people. Really not the best company to work.

1. You will get opportunity to do project from scratch 2. Good team and environment 3. Good and supportable manager 4. Good for both fresher and experienced because they will maintain the hierarchy.
