The most useful review selected by IndeedI was a presenter and I had a good time for all of my shows. Everyone is fun and forward thinking, it was easy to adapt. We get to explore the zoo during our break and I absolutely love hanging out with the animals.

Junior Animal Presenter (Former Employee) - Mandai - February 22, 2019
It is an interesting job involving talking during feeding times at the zoo. Also to feed the animals after the show. To memorize scripts before going out to talk during the feeding times. To maintain and keep the enclosures of the animals clean after putting them in the cage.
Pros
Free Lunches
Cons
Internal politics

Animal Keeper (Former Employee) - singapore - May 12, 2014
it's the best place to work in if you really really love the nature and animals, able to interact with visitors locally and from all around the whole world. Working with wonderful people from all departments in the Zoo just makes your day better. The hardest part of the job would be the physical work, very challenging. And the best part would be able to get upclose of the animals we are taking care of as well as all the animals are fine & healthy at the end of the day.

Place of great learning and fun
Animal Caregiver (Former Employee) - Singapore - March 21, 2014
Day started with cleaning all the animals' cages and dens, then preparation of the show animals and stage props. The first animal show would be done followed by food preparation for all the animals. The second show would be carried out followed by the feeding of the animals and closing. Learned to care for the animals properly, sanitation wise and health wise. Learned to medicate injured animals and train the animals for show. Hardest part was having to rush the cleaning in the morning yet ensure a good job is done and be ready for the first show. The most enjoyable part is just caring for the animals and loving them.
